At a red zone tour at Christchurch at end of year 2011, I came upon the fences separating the public from the damages caused by the earthquake. The word Boundaries had been stringed through the fence using long strips of red plastic. The original intention and the message trying to be conveyed are unknown, but the choice of word was rather ironic. Compared to the wrath of natural disasters, how could one ever expect a mere fence to act as a boundary to shield us from harm? There is no stopping mother nature when it strikes. Angeline Low
