Intended Learning Outcome At the end of the lesson, students should be able to: make suggestions listen and make counter suggestions use formal and semi formal suggestions Previous Knowledge Students have some knowledge on how to make suggestions and recommendations.

STAGES
ACTIVITIES 1. The learning outcomes of the lesson are stated and explained to students. 2. Students are given 4 different language expressions each and are asked to put them into the suitable category. Whoever finishes it earlier will be awarded some candies. 3. Students are to recall the previous knowledge taught. 1. Students are given input on expressing preferences, countering suggestions and making interruptions. 2. Students are asked to work in pairs and come out with a situation related to the category given. 3. Students are asked to do a short role-play using the suitable language expressions. 4. Students are given 15 minutes to complete the task. 5. Students are called at random to construct a sentence for some of the lexical phrases. 1. Students are asked to identify the safety sign and the functions of it as shown in Power Point Slideshow by the teacher. 2. Students are called at random to answer the question orally. 3. Students discuss the answers with the teacher. 1. Students are divided into 8 groups. 2. Students are asked to watch a series of short video clips containing video on different types of hazards. 3. Each group is given a situation and the students are asked to identify the problems and proposed solutions for the situation. 4. A volunteer from each group will have to come in front and present the task given. 5. Students discuss the answers with the teacher.
1. Students are given feedback on their presentation. 2. Students are asked to complete task on page 22 for enrichment activity. 3. Teacher wraps up the lesson and ends with a question and answer session.
