INVITATION FOR TENDERS (IFT) (Only through E-Tendering)

1. The Executive Engineer (Anjanapura Division) BBMP, Bangalore invites tenders from eligible Contractors registered in Bruhath Bangalore Mahangara Palike or equivalent registration with CPWD / KPWD / Railways /MES/ National Highway or any state Government Organisations for the construction of works detailed in the table below. The tenderers may submit tenders for works given in the table through E Tendering (viz www.tenderwizard.com/bbmp). 2. Tender documents may be downloaded from the website: www.tenderwizard.com/bbmp from : 01.01.2011 3. Tenders must be accompanied by Earnest money Deposit specified for the work in the table below. Earnest money deposit will have to be in any one of the forms as specified in the Tender document and shall have to be valid for 45 days beyond the validity of the tender. 4. Tender must be submitted online through E-Tendering on or before 1600 hours on ` and the opening of tenders will be as per the schedule. 5. Other details can be seen in the tender documents.

1. The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) Shall be in the form of D.D/Pay order drawn from the Nationalized / Scheduled Bank in favour of the Executive Engineer (Anjanapura Division)/ Commissioner BBMP. 2. Aspiring bidders / Contractors who have not obtained the user ID & Password for participating in Electronic Tendering (E-Tendering) in Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, may obtain the same from the website www.tenderwizard.com/BBMP through link Register Me. 3. Bidders / Contractors can access e-tender from (tender document) by making payment of amount as shown in the above table towards the cost of documents through demand draft in favour of the Executive Engineer Anjanapura Division, Bruhath Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. The E-Tender document can be accessed / downloaded only after receipt of DD towards tender document fee. 4. In case of E-tendering Tenderers have to access tender documents on the website, fill them and submit the completed tender document into electronic tender on the website itself. The EMD shall be scanned and attached to the E-Tender document and hard copy of Demand draft (DD) in favor of Commissioner BBMP should be handed over to Executive Engineer, Anjanapura Division failing which the firm / contractor will be disqualified. 5. The Bidders / Contractors shall attach Scanned copies of all the required Documents / certificates pertaining to tender. Failing which their tenders will be disqualified. 6. Any other details regarding the works & other information can be obtained from the above office during office hours. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TENDER NOTIFICATION No: EE(AP)Tend-06/10-11 Dtd: 10.01.2011 1. Conditional tenders will not be accepted. 2. The contractor has to make own arrangements for procurement of all materials. There is not departmental supply of materials. Contractor should procure materials with BIS or other relevant standards & obtain necessary quality control certificates from authorized quality control authority. 3. The contractor is not eligible for submission of application for tender form if he has not participated in tenders after purchase of the tender document continuously for three times. 4. Sub-letting of work is prohibited. 5. Any corrigendum/Modification will be notified in the Notice Board of the undersigned. 6. As per the Government Order No: LD 300/LET/2006, dtd 18.07.2007 1% of the bill amount will be deducted and remitted to Karnataka State Building & other construction Employees Welfare Board. 7. Necessary taxes and other deductions will be made from contractor bills. 8. The successful bidder will have to execute an agreement with BBMP within 7 days of receipt of intimation, failing which his tender is liable to be rejected. 9. The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike reserves the right to accept/reject any or the entire tenders without assigning any reasons.

10. The Contractors interested in Bidding for the work mentioned above may submit an
application to the undersigned along with cost of Tender Documents as per column 6 of the above table to be paid in the form of Demand Draft or Pay Order drawn in favour of the Commissioner BBMP Bangalore of any Nationalised Bank and obtain approval for registration with authorized e-tendering agency M/s KEONICS, No:24, First Floor, Sudha Complex, 3rd Stage, 4th Block, Basaveshwara Nagar, Bangalore-560 079. 11. The tenderers should have to produce contractors registration book issued by the concerned authority for procurement of tender documents. Applicant should submit Proof of registration, latest Income Tax Clearance Certificate, obtained from the Concerned Department while submitting the request for application for the Tender Schedules, otherwise the application will be rejected.

12. The requisite EMD as mentioned in column 6 of the above table in the form of DD/Pay
Order drawn in favour of the Commissioner BBMP Bangalore of any Nationalized Bank, has to be scanned for download of Schedule-B, The Original DD/Pay Order should be submitted before opening the e-Tender box. If the Bidder fails to submit the Original DD/Pay Order before opening the e-Tender box, his Tender will be disqualified. Regarding the Validity of Bid Security (EMD), Tender Conditions etc., Standard Tender Document shall be referred and his binding on the Tenderer. 13. The Work should be commenced with all earnestness within 7 days from the date of Work Order, failing which it would be presumed that he is not interested in the work and action will be taken to get the work executed through alternate agency at the risk and cost of the former Tender. 14. 16. If the rate/amount quoted by the tenderer is less than the rate/amount of the Tender
amount , such tenderer while submitting the tender shall remit the difference amount in form of DD in favour of The Commissioner, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagar Palike along with separate EMD amount. This difference amount will be returned after satisfactory completion of the work only. Failure to comply with the said conditions, the tender will be rejected. 17. The tenders shall be strictly as per the formats and terms and conditions specified in the tender documents. Lump sum tenders will not be considered. Separate tenders shall be submitted for each work. 18. Tenderers can submit the tenders for any any Work. 19. The tenders will be opened on the due date and time of opening indicated in the tender document. Tenders must be submitted to BBMP at the website www.tenderwizard.com/BBMP address specified before 10.01.2011up to 4.00 PM. In the event of the specified date for the submission of EMD for the tenders being declared a holiday for the BBMP, the tenders will be received up to the appointed time on the next working day. BBMP at its discretion may review the various terms and conditions of tender and extend the deadline for submission of tenders by issuing an amendment, in which case all rights and obligations of the BBMP and the Tenderers previously subject to the original deadline will then be subject to the new deadline. Tenders will not be accepted after the time fixed for receipt of bids.

20. Quantities of work: The tenderer has to submit the tender as per quantities
indicated in the schedule B only. However, the tenderer has to make his pre-bid survey for complete re-verification of quantities and site condition before submitting the tender. 21. For maintenance work the contractor should satisfactorily completed at-least 50% of the similar nature of contract value as prime contractor in any previous 3 years. 22. Contractor should own a vehicle fitted with crane and necessary accessories to lift the submersible pump from the borewell (should produce the proof of ownership with photographs. Failing which Tenders are liable for rejection).
