Continuing Rizals Works...

By Jayson Sanchez

Kabataang Pangarap ni Rizal (KAPARIZ)- The Official Youth Arm of the Order of the Knights of Rizal chartered under Republic Act 646. This organization is a well-known group in the Philippines, one of the humongust constitutions in the country. This organization was formed in honor of our National Hero, Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda. This aims to enliven the works, deeds, and contributions of Dr. Jose Rizal and this can only be done for the countrys improvement, and who could lead the other youth into a right direction for a successful future. Bravo! YES. He contributed a lot in the Philippine Revolution. His life in Dapitan is very memorable and very inspiring and this thing encouraged me to be one of the members of this organization and was lucky to become the KAPARIZ Mindanao Council Vice President. Just last, May 2011, some student leaders of St. Mary's College, Baganga went to Dapitan to attend the 2nd Mindanao Kapariz Summer Camp held at Alexandra by the Sea, Shrine City of Dapitan. We visited the historical places and things of Dr. Jose Rizal; his skirts, the leggings sent by him to Ferdinand Blumentrit, his two books: the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. The question is Do we know the life of our National Hero? Maybe the majority answer is NO . Let's bear in mind that he contributed a lot in the Declaration of Independence of the Philippines against the ruling of the Spaniards for 333 years. Our country, Philippines survived over a thousand years. In the late centuries, it was under the rule of the Spaniards who was craving for wealth and the different resources of our fatherland, especially the landmasses of it. But as year goes by, a versatile man sprouted in the middle ages. He fought the Spaniards using only his intelligence . He started his life with a supernatural apprehension and a surpernatural heightwan. Truly the saying Small but terrible is veritable. Do you want to know the life of the Truth Seeker? Ask me and I'll tell you. Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda was born on June 19, 1861 at Calamba, Laguna, Philippines. He was a constituent of La Solidaridad and La Liga Filipina. Those organizations helped him fight the Spaniards to obtain independence in the Philippines especially PEACE in our fatherland. He did write many novels, books, poem and etc. like Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo which was the reason why Spaniards felt guilty with what they did to our Father Land and also to the Filipinos. Now, laugh at me: someday people will make monuments of me, this is one of Dr. Rizal's philosophies in life. He started it, and now is the time for us to continue his works. Let us make our Fatherland proud of the youth who according to Dr. Jose Rizal is the hope of our country, the Philippines.
