STORY LINES

Scene 1 (Magtanim ay di biro) Farmer planting his crops at a rich fertile land. After exhausting his efforts, finally, after 9 golden months, the fruit of his hardwork finally paid off. But then, Spanish officials came in, inspecting per farms. They are collecting local taxes from the poor people. This farmer tried to appeal with them but then, Spanish officials stated that the whole land is owned by the Spanish monarchy and that, collecting taxes is just appropriate. The farmer was confused since what he know is that the land that he is tilling was given by his diseased father. Since he has no power to fight with the officials he paid the tax worth of 9 real, since he cant afford it, he gave his crops to the officials. And this happened so many times and the taxes being paid are doubled every month

SCENE 2 (Bayad muna, bago langit) Two young ladies just finished praying at the church. They are about to leave when they happened to bumped a Spanish Friar. The ladies apologized to the priest. But then the monster stated that doing harm to others especially to people who represents God is an UNPARDONABLE SIN and that people who commit such will automatically be sent to hell- a place of eternal suffering. The ladies pleaded to the priest. Then the friar stated that, However, if you will offer a sanctorum, your crimes will be absolved and that you will be sent immediately to heaven once you died. The poor ladies paid the said sanctorum (unknowingly, at the back of the friars mind, he is thinking another bunch of luxurious things to buy)

SCENE 3 (Ang aming pag-aalay, iyong tunghayan!) A group of families attended a regular mass. After the mass, all mass attendants were called by the church ministries who are mostly Spanish. They ordered that the due date for monthly tithing is today and that all of them must pay or else they cant enter the kingdom of God. Since no one wants to suffer from the fires of hell nor to the loneliness of purgatory, they willingly paid the said tithes, thinking that they will enjoy eternal happiness. Meanwhile, church ministries are smiling like a dog.

SCENE 4 (Akin ka na lang!) Spanish soldiers are declaring that teenage boys should work for the Spanish monarchy, wherein they will have to use their body and hardwork. Poor boys! If only they are not born in a poor family. Meanwhile, a group of elite teenagers came secretly to Spanish officials, handling an amount of money to them. They said that they will pay their FALIA- a tax bestowed to principalia teenage boys who does not want to work and exhaust their precious body.

SCENE 5 (Ang Cedula! Bow) People are falling in line to pay for their cedula. Lady 1: Nakakasawa ng magbayad para lang dito! Sigurado kaya sila na napupunta ang lahat ng mga to sa hari? Lady 2: Manahimik tayo (whispering) andiyan ang mga sibil! Sibil: Aaligid aligid Naniningil ng buwis: Siguradong madami na naman akong mabibiling pagkain nito. (feeling his tummy)

SCENE 6: Paalam Cedula! Maligayang pagdating TRIBUTO Spanish officials declared that paying of cedula will be prohibited. All of the people are rejoicing. Some are shouting, jumping for joy. Just as then, Spanish official declared: Ngunit, kapalit nito, magabayad kayo ng tribute para sa hari ng Espanya. Magbibigay kayo ng alay para sa kanya All of a sudden, all people became depressed O_O (hehe)

SCENE 7-10 (wala na akong maisip haha FAITH pwedeng sayo yung tatlo? Haha)
