Synergem, an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization, recognized by Central Electricity Authority, Under Ministry of Power, Govt. of India offers various training programs in Thermal Power Plant Engineering including one year training to graduate engineers, corporate training to sponsored batch, On and Off site training programs.

Highlights of first year:


First batch of twelve-month training program concluded in July 2011. Students from various states including Chattisgarh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh. Achieved 65% Campus Placement. Average CTC - 3.5 Lacs Students selected in companies including GMR, Triveni, KSK, IEPL, Indiabulls, Invensys. Bagged sponsored batch of 40 Graduate Engineer Trainees form Indiabulls Power Ltd. Undertaken corporate training program at Gurgaon for Indiabulls Power Ltd. Started second batch of twelve-month training program in Thermal Power Plant Engg of 60 Graduate Engineers for the session of 2011-2012.

A. Certification and Recognition:


Synergem an ISO 9001:2008 certified organization, recognized by Central Electricity Authority, Under Ministry of Power, Govt of India (No.6/71/2010-HRD/2789) offers training solutions in Thermal Power Plant Engineering. The full time twelve month training program offered to graduate engineers is designed as per Annexure XIV of Indian Electricity Rules 1956 for engineers (as per terms of provision contained in sub-rule 2A of Rule 3 of the Indian Electricity Rules, 1956-saved in the Electricity Act, 2003). Synergem also undertakes corporate training (sponsored batch) from Power plant companies. The first sponsored batch of 40 graduate engineer trainees has been undertaken for Indiabulls Power Limited from August 2011. The training program varies from 4 weeks to 21 weeks based on requirement. Simulator training is also incorporated as per requirement.

C. Training Methodology:
Teaching Style: A Unique teaching style focused on students participation. Presentations are required to be delivered by students at regular intervals. Exams are Viva Based (one to one communication) with less of written examination pattern, different from conventional style of teaching. Simulator Training-In plant Training & Industrial Site Visits: Program is designed with regular site visits at Thermal Power Stations. Two week simulator training is also arranged on 210 MW Simulator thru our tie up with Maharashtra State Electricity Board - Mahagenco. Training Itinerary: Overall development of Trainees is assured through regular assessment, which is based on credit system. Trainees are assessed through out the training program. Review reports are prepared and are provided on monthly basis. Credit system is based on following points: Exam - (Module based) Written test, individual presentations, viva voice. Assignments - Session based Percentage of attendance. Discipline - As per Institutes Rules and Regulations. Project Submission - Individual and Group

D. Management of Batch :
We have successfully completed first batch of 52 Engineers for the session of 20102011, along with the sponsored batch of 40 graduate engineers. Experience faculty acting as a coordinator manages the entire training program schedule including lectures by guest faculty, exams and plant visits. Principal Director Mr. Anil Palamwar (Retd. Director Operations from MSEDCL) scrutinize the progress of training program through

regular feedback from students. Administration including attendance management, library operation etc are managed by HR personal. Hostel, food, traveling are managed by separate admin staff.

E. Residential facility:
Residential facility is made available in Service Apartments or hostels as per requirement. Travel facility is also provided at extra cost on actual basis.
