OTHER INFORMATION
Late Work Policy: All assignments are expected to be turned in on time, 100% complete. If you are unable to turn in an assignment on time, for ANY reason, 10 points will be deducted for each day the assignment is late. You will have a MAXIMUM of three days to turn in the assignment, then it is a ZERO. Make-up Work: The policy outlined in the student handbook will be followed. You have 5 days to make up missed work due to an EXCUSED absence. If you know that you are going to miss class please let us know in advance so that we can keep you up to date. When you are absent it is YOUR responsibility to look in the Absent Binder on the day of your return to see what you missed.

Practice Gateway: Each student is REQUIRED to take the Practice Gateway each semester. The Practice Gateway is done in class and is counted as a Paper grade. Honor Code: You will be expected to follow the BHS Honor Code. Cheating of any sort will not be tolerated. The BHS Honor Code & all definitions of cheating can be found in your 2012-2013 Agenda Book on pgs 11-13. Ignorance of what constitutes cheating will not be accepted as an excuse for cheating. Those caught cheating will receive a ZERO for the assignment, their parents will be called and they will be issued an administrative referral. It is not worth it so DONT CHEAT! Each student will have 5 bathroom passes to use for the entire semester. The slip will be taped to the inside back-cover of your agenda book during the first week of school. There are several rules in my class (and Im sure I will invent more as the year goes on), but there is one basic rule that MUST be followed: RESPECT. This appears to be a simple task, and it is, but it encompasses a lot of different aspects. Respect includes, but is not limited to, allowing others to have their opinions and voice them without being interrupted, allowing everyone in class to participate, being on-task, being on time to class, arriving to class ready to learn with all books and materials, turning in assignments on time, turning in make-up work on time, and respecting the classroom by cleaning up after yourself and returning all borrowed items to their original locations.

Bathroom Passes: Behavior:

Failure to comply with our rules will result in the following consequences: 1. Verbal warning. 2. 30 min detention & email/phone call home to parent/guardian. 3. 60 min detention, email/phone call home to parent/guardian, & behavior contract. 4. Referral to grade level administrator for Administrative Detention and/or ISS.

Please remember that EACH day is a NEW day, with a CLEAN SLATE. If you are ever having a problem, big or small, please do not hesitate to let a teacher know ASAP. MAKE IMPROVEMENTS, NOT EXCUSES!!!!
Please keep this copy of the Syllabus in your binder for easy access to all rules and procedures!!!

The syllabus may be updated as needed throughout the semester.
