Local 2054 Scholarships

Academic Excellence Scholarships: The Local 2054 Academic Excellence Scholarships will be in the amount of $1,000 each. The local will be awarding 2 scholarships for the Fall 2012 semester. Winners will be selected by Local 2054s Education Committee. Who is Eligibility? Local 2054 Members- The member must be in Good Standing. Local 2054 Members Children- The member must be in Good Standing. Local 2054 Members Grandchildren- The member must be in Good Standing.

Qualifications: June 2012 High School Graduates, current Undergraduates, current and newly accepted Graduate Students are invited to apply. All applicants must be accepted into an Accredited College as a matriculated student for the Fall of 2012. Prior to receiving the award, the winners must submit proof of registration of classes (an Official Bursars Receipt) and proof of matriculation. June 2012 High School Graduates: Must have a minimum overall GPA of 95. Must submit two Professional Letters of Recommendations: Examples of Professional Recommendations: A Teachers Recommendation An High School Internship Recommendation A completed application, an Official Transcript (sealed) and two Professional Letters of Recommendations must be submitted by the application deadline.

Current Undergraduates:

Must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters of undergraduate studies. Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.75. Must submit two Professional Letters of Recommendations: Examples of Professional Recommendations: A Professors Recommendation An Internship or Employers Recommendation A completed application, an Official Transcript (sealed) and two Professional Letters of Recommendations must be submitted by the application deadline.

Current Graduate Students:

Must have completed a minimum of 2 semesters of Graduate studies. Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.75. Must submit two Professional Letters of Recommendations: Examples of Professional Recommendations: A Professors Recommendation An Internship or Employers Recommendation A completed application, an Official Transcript (sealed) and two Professional Letters of Recommendations must be submitted by the application deadline.

Newly Accepted Graduate Students: Must have a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.75. Must submit two Professional Letters of Recommendations: Examples of Professional Recommendations: A Professors Recommendation An Internship or Employers Recommendation A completed application, an Official Transcript (sealed) and two Professional Letters of Recommendations must be submitted by the application deadline.

The deadline for submission of the Fall 2012 Academic Excellence Scholarships applications is September 6, 2012.
