Faria International School

Term One Report

Prepared: June 1, 2012

Student Name: Henry Epelbaum Class: Advisor: Grade 3 Richard Chandler

Dear Parents, An education at Faria International School is about actively combining challenging and enriching experiences with academic rigour and creative opportunities. We want our students to have the courage to push back the boundaries of their experience and to explore the possibilities that are available to them. Whilst we are proud of their academic results, there is so much more to the education we provide. It is, therefore, important that parents wholeheartedly support the ethos of the school. Whether it is in the classroom, on the stage, whilst participating in an expedition, on the sports field or when serving others, we want our students to experience the excitement of discovering they are capable of achieving far more than they ever felt was possible. We have high expectations of our students and they, in turn, have high expectations of themselves. On this note, I would like to present the first report card of this academic year. Lets work together to create an environment for true development. Kind regards, John Walden Principal

Great job! Henry really enjoyed this unit and was able to improve his mathematics skills considerably. Although he struggled a bit at the start, after the first week Henry was one of the top students in the class.

Henry worked very hard in this unit. He did not seem to enjoy it as much as the other three, but he still put in very good work and effort.

VG

Henry always impresses me with his hard work. His patient dedication to learning is something all students should try to emulate!

Goals and Reflections

Learning Goals Communicators: Improve my cursive handwriting Thinkers: Get better at my multiplication tables Inquirers: Get better at baseball, so I can knock it out of the park Inquirers: Finish 5 chapter books by the end of the year Caring: Recycle more cans Reflections This term I hope to focus my learning goals on improving my overall learning profile: thinker, communicator, risk-taker and inquirer. My handwriting is a bit messy right now, so I'm going to keep writing in my journal until it becomes very clear and easy to read. I'm also going to try and be better at multiplication bingo by making flash cards and practicing after my homework is done. The baseball season has just started, and I want to make the Elementary school team this year, so I'm going to practice every weekend with my friends until I can hit the ball out of the park! Status
