A Lesson Plan in English V 1st Grading FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS June 27, 2011 I. OBJECTIVES A. Follow given directions correctly. B. Foster cooperation among group mates. II. SUBJECT MATTER: FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS References: 1. PELC in English V, Listening 2, p.20 2. BEAM Learning Guide Gr. VI, Module 3, pp.3 and 31 3. origamiapple.com, google.com, youtube.com Macro-skills integrated: Listening and Reading Subject integration: English and MSEP III. MATERIALS: manila paper, worksheets, crayons, paper cut-outs, audio-visual equipment, scoresheets IV. PROCEDURE A. Motivation: Pupils follow simple steps of morning exercises. B. Presentation: Teacher asks pupils the dictionary meaning of directions before stating the contextual definition. C. Discussion: Teacher asks pupils examples of situations where directions should be followed then give the importance of following them. D. Activities: 1. Warm-up Activity: Teacher asks 2 volunteers from each group in the game TAILING THE TIGER. 2. 2nd Activity: ORIGAMI-MAKING Teacher groups pupils into 5 for the next activity. Pupils are given 10-15 mins. to create a paper animal based on the written directions given to them. They are rated with a scoring rubric.
