QUALIFICA TIONS: Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree Preferred) in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum of two years teaching experience. Strong leadership skills. Strong oral communication skills, including presentation. Ability to maintain relationships with external constituents and CCCC faculty/staff. Condition of Employment: Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background check and drug testing with favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet this requirement will be grounds for termination. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES: Teach college level courses in natural resource management and other related fields. Develop and present experiential learning opportunities and culturally relevant instruction within the classroom including developing new course content and lab modules for existing courses and courses new to the Natural Resource Management degree program. Provide leadership to other land grant projects related to Natural Resources. This includes the enhancement of an outdoor classroom and nature trail, installation and maintenance of a culturally appropriate campus landscape design, and development of infrastructure for recycling. Maintain communication with students regarding advisement, course work, and program
evaluation during office hours.
Support the strategic plan of the Land Grant Programs by participating in various projects related to student learning. Participate in training to increase knowledge of the Dakota culture and language. Participate in 1-2 College Accreditation Teams. Participate in various training and in-services as offered for college faculty and staff Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
