PRESENTATION OF TEXTINERGIE
Goals
Evaluate the contribution of solar protection devices to energy p gy savings
Quantify the energy savings possibly made by the installation of textile solar protection devices Improve the consideration of thermal and visual performances of products Inform the industry (installers et manufacturers) and prescribers (building designers, architects, )
Comparison of energy needs of a standard office building equipped with textile solar protection devices to the same office without blinds.
Principle
PRESENTATION OF TEXTINERGIE
Configuration
The user chooses: The climatic area (within 24 towns), The faade aspect of the building (4 possible orientations),
The glazed surface of the office (40% or 80%), The type of glazing (within 3 standardised glazing), The position of the blind (internal or external), The type of textile (two possible types), The colour of the textile (5 possible colours).
PRESENTATION OF TEXTINERGIE
Modelling and hypotheses used
Modelling of an office in the middle of the faade, Hours of occupancy: from 7 am to 7 pm, Visual comfort: 500 lux maximum in the middle of the office
Action on the position of the blind, artificial lighting, heating and cooling Results
Textinergie gives two different levels of results: Simplified results: percentage of energy saving associated with air-conditioning and other installations (air-conditioning + heating + artificial lighting), Detailed results: calculated temperature (C); energy needs (kWh), average position of the blind, percentage of energy saving for each unit (air-conditioning, heating and lighting) and average level of natural light (lux).
