AN APPEAL I am VASA DURGA PRASAD, contesting as TREASURER (Code No: ) from JAI HO PANEL FOR MERGER led by Com. OVB SIVA RAM and Com. K SRAVAN KUMAR in the ensuing ABOA Unit: SBH Elections 2012-15. I present hereunder my profile for information. Brief Bio-Data: I hail from a respectable middle class orthodox family and a Graduate in 1996. I had joined the bank at the age of 21 years as Cashier cum Clerk on 30/07/1997 and promoted to JMGS I Cadre on 01/12/2005 under B Group and elevated to MMGS II Cadre on 01/12/2009. I have left over service of more than 24 years (Retirement 2036). I had worked in Rural, Semi Urban and Urban Centers during my past 15 years of service, covering various assignments in the Bank as Cashier-Clerk /Accountant/Field Officer/Branch Manager. I have thorough knowledge of the difficulties faced by all officers including Trainee Officers / Probationary Officers especially during their On Job Training period, as I was also a Trainee Officer during 2005-06. I also understand the problems faced by the officers in general and their family members in particular, posted in states outside their linguistic area, as I had worked at Hudgi Branch, Karnataka State for 2 years. From my school days, I was an active participant in Student Unions and representative of Class / School or College. After joining the bank, I have been an active member in the Award staff union and also in the ABOA Unit SBH details of which are furnished in the following paragraph. I had started my trade union stint in the Staff Association during my probationary period itself as Branch Secretary at my first branch i.e. ICHODA Branch, Adilabad Dist. and then onwards there was no looking back. I had actively participated in the activities of SBH Employees Association and after my promotion to JMGS I Officer under Group B, I enrolled myself in ABOA Unit SBH and took active part in the elections held in 2006. As I am fully convinced that merger of our bank with SBI is in the good interest of the members / employees, I had staunchly supported the JAI HO PANEL LED BY Com. PEDDI SUDHAKAR and extended back office support to the Panel. About our Leadership: I have been associated with the present leadership of Com OVB Siva Ram, Com K Sravan Kumar, Com S D Kamalakar, Com Alla Ravinder, Com P Rama Koteswara Rao etc for the last 7 years and believed that it is the Best of the Leadership for our ABOAUnit:SBH. I confident about the Merger with SBI will be effectively taken up by our leadership only. During 2011, I was been given an opportunity to serve our members as the leadership has chosen me as Central Committee Member for the newly formed Guntur Region and to the best of my ability I have been effectively serving the members with the strength given by the members & the Leadership.

JPFM Candidate as Treasurer: Our Leadership, JAI HO PANEL FOR MERGER has chosen me for the Post of Treasurer in order to :: 1) Give Representation to the younger generation viz. Scale I and II Officers in the Central Office 2) Promote young generation in the Trade Union Activities and to strengthen Our Association, 3) Develop 2nd line leadership to carry on the Mantle in future, as the most of the Senior Leaders are retiring in the next 2 to 4 years span. Appeal for Your SUPPORT: For the last few months, I have been visiting the branches and meeting our colleagues in all the Zones. I am able to understand the problems of our officers community at the branches through my interaction with our colleagues. Though I am trying to meet all of you in person, due to paucity of time, I may not be able to meet some of you. But by and large, I know the pressures, problems facing by our officers, as I am also an officer of this Bank in general and a Branch Manager of a Branch in particular. With this background, I request you to kindly EXTEND YOUR WHOLE HEARTED SUPPORT, CANVASS, VOTE & ELECT me as TREASURER (CODE No :- T3) OF our ABOA-Unit: SBH IN the ensuing elections 2012-15. My Ballot Code Number is T3. I also request you to kindly SUPPORT, CANVASS, VOTE & ELECT all members from Jai Ho Panel for Merger led by Com SIVA RAM and Com SRAVAN KUMAR, a Matured Leadership, Which ONLY can take care of the welfare of our members effectively and in an efficient manner. This is the Only Panel which has given equal opportunity to the members belonging to all Cadres (Scale I to Scale V officers) and all sections irrespective of cast, creed and Religion (SC/ST/Minorities / OBCs/BCs / OCs) including Lady Comrades.
