Abstrak

Kajian tindakan ini dijalankan untuk melihat keberkesanan penggunaan kaedah latihan menggunakan beban berat badan dalam meningkatkan kuasa kaki. 10 orang murid dari Tahun 4 Intan yang terdiri daripada 6 orang lelaki dan 4 orang perempuan adalah subjek kajian yang memperoleh skor terendah dalam Ujian Vertical Jump. Intervensi telah dilakukan oleh subjek kajian selama empat minggu bagi kitaran 1 dan kitaran 2. Data dikumpulkan melalui ujian pra, ujian pasca 1, ujian pasca 2 dan pemerhatian berstruktur. Hasil analisis data mendapati bahawa kesemua subjek kajian menunjukkan peningkatan skor dalam ujian pasca 1 berbanding ujian pra manakala peningkatan skor ujian pasca 2 pula berbanding dengan ujian pasca 1. Kesemua subjek kajian telah berjaya mencapai jarak lompatan melebihi 29.2cm (90%) dalam ujian pasca 2. Keputusan kajian menunjukkan bahawa latihan menggunakan beban berat badan telah meningkatkan keupayaan kuasa kaki mereka. latihan menggunakan beban berat badan = weight training Kajian tindakan = action research

This action research was determining the affects of weight training in improving the power of leg. 10 pupils comprising of six boys and five girls from Year 4 Intan were identified as research subject who obtained the lowest score for Vertical Jump Test. The subjects had done the intervention in four weeks for circle 1 and circle 2. The data was collected by using pre-test, post-test 1, post-test 2 and structured observation. Data analysis showed that all the research subjects achieved the highest scores in post-test 1 compared to pre-test and post-test 2 compared to post-test 1. All the subjects were successfully achieved more than 29.2cm (90%) in post-test 2. The results showed that weight training is an effective method to improve the power of leg.

(This research is to determine the affect of the weight training methods in improving the power of the legs. Where, 10 pupils from the Years 4 Intan that comprising of six boys and four girls have been chosen as the subject research, where all the pupils was get the lowest score for the Vertical Jump Test.
