Movie in the Park. Saturday, September 8 2012 @ Dusk. The next "Movie in the Park" will be held on September 8 starting at 8:30 p.m. The featured movie will be "The Lorax." The office for the Village of Shepherd is experiencing a loss of email access, plus the official Village of Shepherd website isn't available. They are currently working to resolve the issue, and the post on the Facebook page for the Shepherd Police Department said that they hoped to have everything back up and working by the end of this week. Jason Raitz, Director of Live Now Leadership and Alma resident, was interviewed recently by Fox 17 news on the subject of bullying in schools. Comment or view the video Like the Museum. The Mt. Pleasant Discovery Museum is hoping to grow its number of likes for its Facebook page. A billboard down where? Cops & Doughnuts has two billboards now--one on US-27, and the other in Florida. Seems like that would be a long ways to drive for a doughnut. Shepherd Elementary School Open House. An open house will be held at the Shepherd Elementary school on Thursday, August 30th from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. According to the post from the Shepherd Elementary PTO, "Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher, visit their classrooms and ask any questions they may have. Parents will also have the chance to learn more about PTO, which is an organization that does wonderful things for our school." Michelle Davidson wrote on Shepherd Today's wall, "Thank you so much everyone who helped make the "Party in the Park" such a fun event.
