: CLAIMS (Insurance)

Description: The Claims Module is used to record notification of a claim and its subsequence registration; it can record the reserves for losses and expenses. A full cycle is supported. This includes notification, registration, payments (part of payments are allowed, close and reopen) a salvage open. The Claims is first record as a simple notification. Notification is assigned a number and its status is pending. You can record detail of the risk for example, the car number, the slip name or the employees name or IC NO for a workmen claim. You need not have information about the policy or cover note or open cover against which the claim is being is made. However, as the claim progresses it is expected that you will provide a policy number ultimately. This assumes that policy will be issued for cover note before the claim is converted and registered
