REGIONAL COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 12-03, series of 2012 WHEREAS, it is presented and discussed the advisory of the National President on the reorganization and election of officers of the Districts in the Region pursuant to a resolution of the National Council following the ratification of the new statute of the party, WHEREAS, the advisory is accepted by this august council with certain qualifications, WHEREFORE, On motion of Member Dumaug duly seconded by Member Roa, it was, RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, Maintaining the status quo in the Region and changing the name of the Provincial and City Assemblies into District or Clustered District Assemblies pursuant to the provisions of the newly ratified statutes without a need of reorganizing the officers on the following reasons: 1. CDP Northern Mindanao Regional Officers were duly elected by the 3rd Regional Assembly held on February 20, 2012 at Naawan, Misamis Oriental for a one year term as provided for in Section 4(a), Article VII of the 1st CDP statute and whose assembly officers and members were also elected in their respective District Assemblies, 2. The current regional and district officers are seriously engaged in various programs, projects and activities especially in building alliances with local sectors and political personalities of which a change in the organization may result to confusion and instability to those engagements and to the people the party is engaged with, 3. The existence of the Regional Assembly and the District Assemblies are founded on full paying core members whose 40% of their annual membership fee was remitted to the National Secretariat on time, and, 4. The newly ratified statute has no transitory provisions which will provide on the reorganization of the Regional and District Assemblies from the old to the new statute. Page 1 of 2 pages. Hence, pursuant to the principle on autonomy, it will then be at the discretion of the Region to reorganize itself taking into consideration the current status of the members, continuous and active participation in party activities and on time remittance of the 40% share of the National Council to the National Secretariat. Further Resolved, that the following Provincial and City Assemblies shall be renamed into the following 7 District Assemblies, to wit: 1. Assembly of the City of Cagayan de Oro District 1 Assembly and District 2 Assembly all in the City of Cagayan de Oro 2. Assembly of the City of Iligan District Assembly of Iligan City 3. Assembly of the Province of Lanao del Norte Clustered District Assemblies of the Province of Lanao del Norte 4. Assembly of the Province of Misamis Oriental District 2 Assembly of Misamis Oriental 5. Assembly of the Province of Misamis Occidental and Assembly of Ozamis City Clustered District Assemblies of the Province of Misamis Occidental 6. Assembly of the Province of Bukidnon, Assembly of the City of Valencia and Assembly of Baungon Clustered District Assemblies of the Province of Bukidnon Finally Resolved, former Provincial and City Assemblies are allowed to reorganize and are given until September 6, 2012, two days before the 4th Regional Assembly, to convene their District Assemblies and elect their District Council Officers. Otherwise, they conform and agree to this resolution. Motion Carried. I hereby certify that the above-quoted resolution is TRUE and CORRECT.
