STILL REMAIN ON RECORD! EXHIBIT A The Laodicean Church (1855)

I was shown that the testimony to the Laodiceans applies to God's people at the present time, and the reason it has not accomplished a greater work is because of the hardness of their hearts. But God has given the message time to do its work. The heart must be purified from sins which have so long shut out Jesus. This fearful message will do its work. When it was first presented, it led to close examination of heart. Sins were confessed, and the people of God were stirred everywhere. Nearly all believed that this message would end in the loud cry of the third angel. But as they failed to see the powerful work accomplished in a short time, many lost the effect of the message. I saw that this message would not accomplish its work in a few short months. It is designed to arouse the people of God, to discover to them their backslidings, and to lead to zealous repentance, that they may be favored with the presence of Jesus, and be fitted for the loud cry of the third angel. As this message affected the heart, it led to deep humility before God. Angels were sent in every direction to prepare unbelieving hearts for the truth. The cause of God began to rise, and His people were acquainted with their position. If the counsel of the True Witness had been fully heeded, God would have wrought for His people in greater power. Yet the efforts made since the message has been given, have been blessed of God, and many souls have been brought from error and darkness to rejoice in the truth. 1

EXHIBIT B The Sealing (1882)

I saw that the four angels would hold the four winds until Jesus' work was done in the sanctuary, and then will come the seven last plagues. These plagues enraged the wicked against the righteous; they thought that we had brought the judgments of God upon them, and that if they could rid the earth of us, the plagues would then be stayed. A decree went forth to slay the saints, which caused them to cry day and night for deliverance. This was the time of Jacob's trouble. Then all the saints cried out with anguish of spirit, and were delivered by the voice of God. The 144,000 triumphed. Their faces were lighted up with the glory of God. Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting. I asked who this company were. The angel said, "These are they who have once kept the Sabbath and have given it up. I heard them cry with a loud voice, "We have believed in Thy coming, and taught it with energy. And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw that they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet--trodden the Sabbath underfoot-- and that was why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting. Then my attending angel directed me to the city again, where I saw four angels winging their way to the gate of the city. They were just presenting the golden card to the angel at the gate when I saw another angel flying swiftly from the direction of the most excellent glory, and crying with a loud voice to the other angels, and waving something up and down in his hand. I asked my attending angel for an explanation of what I saw. He told me that I could see no more then, but he would shortly show me what those things that I then saw meant. Sabbath afternoon one of our number was sick, and requested prayers that he might be healed. We all united in applying to the Physician who never lost a case, and while healing power came down, and the sick was healed, the Spirit fell upon me, and I was taken off in vision". was clothed with priestly garments. He gazed in pity on the remnant, then raised His hands, and with a voice of deep pity cried, "My blood, Father, My blood, My blood, My blood!" Then I saw an exceeding bright light come from God, who sat upon the great white throne, and was shed all about Jesus. Then I saw an angel with a commission from Jesus, swiftly flying to the four angels who had a work to do on the earth, and waving something up and down in his hand, and crying with a loud voice, "Hold! Hold! Hold! Hold! until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads. "I asked my accompanying angel the meaning of what I heard, and what the four angels were about to do. He said to me that it was God that restrained the powers, and that He gave His angels charge over things on the earth; that the four angels had power from God to hold the four winds, and that they were about to let them go; but while their hands were loosening, and the four winds were about to blow, the merciful eye of Jesus gazed on the remnant that were not sealed, and He raised His hands to the Father and pleaded with Him that He had spilled His blood for them. Then another angel was commissioned to fly swiftly to the four angels and bid them hold, until the servants of God were sealed with the seal of the living God in their foreheads.2

EXHIBIT C The Message of Justification by Faith 1888

The Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones. [SEE APPENDIX.] This message was to bring more prominently before the world the uplifted Saviour, the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. It presented justification through faith in the Surety; it invited the people to receive the righteousness of Christ, which is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God. Many had lost sight of Jesus. They needed to have their eyes directed to His divine person, His merits, and His changeless love for the human family. All power is given into His hands, that He may dispense rich gifts unto men, imparting the priceless gift of His own righteousness to the helpless human agent. This is the message that God commanded to be given to the world. It is the third angel's message, which is to be proclaimed with a loud voice, and attended with the outpouring of His Spirit in a large measure. The efficacy of the blood of Christ was to be presented to the people with freshness and power, that their faith might lay hold upon its merits. As the high priest sprinkled the warm blood upon the mercy seat, while the fragrant cloud of incense ascended before God, so while we confess our sins and plead the efficacy of Christ's atoning blood, our prayers are to ascend to heaven, fragrant with the merits of our Saviour's character. Notwithstanding our unworthiness, we are ever to bear in mind that there is One that can take away sin and save the sinner. Every sin acknowledged before God with a contrite heart, He will remove. This faith is the life of the church. As the close of the house of God's probation approaches, heirs remain faithful and alert, reassuring their seat at the throne of God 1Pet. 4:17, Rev. 3:21. Today's sealing message manifests God's divine, infinite and perfect power Rom. 1:20. Eternally filled with good news, God's sealing message warrants that all chosen individuals manifest the character of Christ, overcoming the propensity to sin Matt. 5:48, 1John 3:9. Sin is

noncompliance with the Ten Commandments 1John 3:4. Such an allegiance to divine truth will be the focus for those who dare to be like the Prophet Daniel and the Three Hebrews, standing for Christ, our Faithful True Witness - see A Soul Sealed at Character Perfection page 87. The ongoing work towards sealing requires fixed, unchangeable, absolute sanctification, which comes from the Holy Spirit alone Eph. 1:13, 4:30. Being justified by faith, we must continue in obedience, reproducing the character of God Exo. 20. Mirroring the image of the Messiah, we must have Him formed fully in us, being found blameless and faultless Gal. 4:19, Col. 1:24-29, 1Thess. 5:23, Jude 24, 25. We must emphasize to both believers and nonbelievers the need to evacuate spiritual Babylon, before the world's probation closure Rev. 18:1-4, 22:11-12. Teaching the Three angels messages to ..."every nation kindred tongue and people" is therefore essential Rev. 14:6-12. The church of Philadelphia is true Adventism Rev. 3:7-13. As we prepare for the Latter Rain, embracing the return of Christ; true sincere believers must focus on becoming harvest ripe, while perfecting Christian characters Matt. 5:48. Harvest ripe by biblical definition entails a process of establishing "first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear" Mark 4:26-29. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord" Act 3:19. We must focus on strengthening the true church of Christ, those that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus Christ, adhering to the law and the testimony. The focus on the light of Truth (a nonnegotiable objective) will be kept solely by true Christians who are obedient and faithful heirs, God's peculiar people Titus 2:14, 1Peter 2:9. An uncompromising, unchangeable, immutable faith in the Messiah (our Redeemer) is thus required. God wants his chosen to daily grow in sanctification, while developing in the character of God. Finding love and reassurance in the Messiah by grace through faith, God's remnant can become firmly rooted in Truth while preparing to receive the seal of the living God John 15:1-7, Eph. 2:8, 4:30. With guileless mouths and unblemished garments, those chosen, successfully withstanding trials and tribulation (without the aid of an IntercessorChrist) will be rewarded as God's precious gems, 144,000 in number Rom. 8:34, 1Tim. 2:5, Rev. 3:21, 7:1-4.
