EDI Interface
The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Interface enables information exchange with your customers, agents, consignees and governments. It also helps to improve the efficiency within the company by enabling information exchanges between different offices within the company. Its seamless integration with the Export and Import modules allows manifest information to be shared and thus avoid duplication of data entry. With EDI Interface, manifest data entered through the Export module in one office location can be made available to the Import module in other office locations. The EDI interface supports Customs Express Consignment Manifest Message (CUSEXP), which is a subset of the United Nations Standard Message (UNSM) that conformed to UN/EDIFACT standards for transmitting manifest data. The data exchange format can also be easily customized to meet specific customer needs. The EDI interface can also be operated as an independent module and used to integrate with other freight forwarding system for data interchange.

The Automated Manifest System (AMS) module provides facilities for capturing, consolidating and transmitting information required for the 24-hour Advance Sea Manifest Rule enforced in 2003 by US Customs. Freight forwarding business is always demanding. Its success greatly relies on the prompt response to the changing landscape of the world. e-CMS AMS is one of the very first system that is able to cater for the recent Advance Manifest requirement of US. It allows user to enter supplementary information required for submitting Advance Manifest data to US Customs. In addition to the general B/L information that is being captured by the e-CMS Export module, supplementary information such as SCAC code, vessel Lloyds code, hazardous material code, first US port and last foreign port, can be captured. The information, including container, commodity description, quantity, weight, measurement/CBM, marks and numbers, can be entered in a way so that they can be associated with individual commodities. The essential information can be automatically extracted and generated in a format which is ready for the delivery to the Sea AMS Service Provider and US Customs for the Advance Manifest requirement.
