Dear Youth Leader, I would like to inform you about AWAKEN 2012, a youth conference that will be taking

place in Grand Forks, B.C. on Oct. 19-21. Friday, Oct. 19 is a Provincial Non-instructional Day, so in other words there is no school, which could mean earlier travel time for your group! AWAKEN 2012 is a joint effort with a few youth groups in the Okanagan and Kootenays partnering with ministries in Grand Forks Gospel Chapel, River Valley Community Church and Pines Bible Camp. A few quick details for AWAKEN 2012 #1 Meals will be provided for Saturday Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Breakfast. Your group will have to take care of the rest of the meals. (There will also be a snack provided on Friday night) #2 Registration will be at the GFSS Auditorium beginning at 5:30pm on Friday Night #3 Pines Bible Camp has opened their facilities for groups to stay in their cabins. There is limited space. The cost will be $10 per person. They have great showers!!! You can call the Camp Office to book cabins at 442-0220 #4 All the activity options are included in the registration cost. If youth have paintball equipment to bring that would be great. But they can only be out during the paintball activity or they will be confiscated. Paintballs will be provided. #5 There will be a gym available for the guys to sleep in, and the girls will be sleeping at River Valley Community Church. The early bird registration for AWAKEN 2012 is only $50 per youth by Oct. 8th regular registration is $65 and registrations will not be accepted after Oct. 15th. This cost includes Saturdays Meals and Sunday Breakfast, accommodations (Guys gym and Girls Gym) and activity options on Saturday. For every 5 youth one Adult leader or Adult chaperone receives free registration. Leaders and Chaperones must be 19 or older and must be on the registration list. Please fill out the group registration form to register your group. The single registration forms are for your youth to get signed and give back to you to keep.
