I understand that the book rented to me is the property of Book Line. In accepting the terms of this Textbook- Rental Agreement, I accept the responsibilities to use the book and return it to Book Line in its original condition. Meaning (no physical or water damage, no excessive writing or highlighting, etc.) book(s) must be returned in a rentable condition. Book Line understands the normal wear and tear of textbooks and I understand that excessive damage is not permitted which is any damage that would prevent another student from being able to reasonably use the book and obtain full learning value from it. I understand that if there is any damage, at the time of rental, it must be noted in the comments field. Book Line reserves the right to determine the condition of the book(s). I understand and accept the responsibility to return the rental book(s) and its accompanying parts, if applicable (CDs/DVDs solutions manuals, companion texts, etc) by MM/DD/YYYY. I understand that I will be charged a late fee of $3.00 per book a day if the book is not returned by the date agreed upon. Therefore if I have two books and I am late by one day I would pay $6.00 late fees

I understand that on the return of the textbook(s) and other materials it will be examined over the next 24 hours and I will be contacted, either to be given the all clear or to be informed of any damages and the fees I would be liable to pay. I understand that these fees must be paid within the next 14 days. If my rental text is lost or stolen, I understand that I will inform Book Line before the set return date and the fee to replace the book will be communicated to me, after which I will have 14 days to pay funds, unless I can provide an exact copy of the book in a similar condition of the book rented. I clearly understand that if I do not return the rental book(s) and have not paid charges within 14 days of being informed, I have given Book Line all rights to take legal actions against me. I understand that Book Line has preset delivery and collection points and if I opt to have the book delivered or collected outside of these locations I will be charged a transportation cost. I understand that Book Line shall not be held liable for any damages incurred, physical or emotional, tangible or intangible, beyond the rental price of the textbooks. Book Line shall not be held liable for poor performance in school or any other tort stemming from the rental of this book.
