Points to be remembered
No student is doing a favor to any company by pursuing his/her SIP there, so dont pose or show-off. Dont be adamant or obstinate but be humble in requesting for information or any data from a company. One should behave like typical India bride or newly-wed daughter-in-law but not like a bridegroom of son-in-law who finds fault with every petty thing; expects a lot a shows off. A newly-wed bride cannot afford to do anything at her in-laws place because it may reflect on her family culture and a small misbehavior, disobedience, impoliteness of illtreatment may cost too much. These things are applicable to both boys and girls. Dont misuse the resources such as telephone, fax, internet, photocopy machine, coffee machine, vehicles etc., of a company. Dont try to get into the cabins of executives, departmental heads or employees for a chit chat. People are busy at work and they are paid to work not for a pastime. This is not only disturbs but also deviates them from their work and results in heavy loss of precious time and productivity. Dont try to find out the pay scales, promotion criteria, HR policies, etc. Dont be curious to know everything in short span. Enthusiasm is good but curiosity kills the cat. Dont dress up shabbily. Dress according to the occasion. Formal for general duties, corporate attire for meetings and presentations and casuals for parties and social gatherings. Dont make-up yourself with gaudy lipsticks, eye shades, glitterati, tattoos and stickers. Dont put heavy gold, silver or diamond ornaments. Dont be late to your duty, training, meeting and presentations. Dont forget to use magical words like may I, could you, thanks, sorry, welcome, excuse etc. as per the situation. Dont argue with your colleagues, senior, boss and subordinates. Dont criticize any rules, policies or culture of a company or an individual. Dont wear a frown or unfriendly expression on your face. A smile doesnt cost anything to you.
