LEADERSHIP MODEL This leadership model which has been used by many companies/organizations is a value driven ,character based

circle of behaviour with 6 ( six ) key steps . Each key step is intimately CONNECTED to the other,forming one larger circle which represents the Model as a whole. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. The 6 circles are Inspire Trust Create Direction Drive organization Alignment Build organization Vitality Execute with Excellence Produce extraordinary Results Circle 1.Inspire TRUST The leadership starts with the ABILITY to inspire trust and earn RESPECT . Once the trust is built ,the leader has the credibility to create the next step. Real example is with our president. Before the election he got very HIGH trust from the people . The precentage of people voting for hom was above 60%. People trust him to carry the job for the next 5 years. People will follow his intruction without too much questions. However after he has shown his INCONSISTENCY .not following through his commitments to eradicate the corruption, the trust of people is diminishing. As a leader , his effectiveness to lead people is questionable. Circle 2.Create DIRECTION

Once the trust has been built, the leader has the CREDIBILITY to create DIRECTION for the team. Very good leader creates a compelling sense of direction for his area of responsibility He develops and translate powerfull insights to improve the situation The real example when the late Suharto was creating compelling sense of direction the Indonesia had to improve the basic food staple. He gave direction ,resources, improved structure of agriculture supports suchas irrigation,high quality seeds , discussion groups klompencapir etc Circle 3Drive organization ALIGNMENT The next step is to drive organization ALIGNMENT in such fashion that the team is organised to execute the agreed direction Many companies implement so called balanced score card or Our House / Rumah Kita . In essence this concept is making sure that each division is aligned to work on the same targets.There are 4 pillars in the organization ..Market,Operation ,Human Resources and Financial. The company has to select and make priority which areas they want to achieve in the market ( say for instance market share of certain category)The second pilar which is Operation has to make sure that the operational activities are geared to achieve the targets set in the market pillar. The third pillar which is Human Resource . This group has to provide HR resources and activities that will support the operational pillar. The fourth pillar is financial group who will monitor and provide Supports. Circle 4..Build organization VITALITY

The leader must motivate and inspire the team . There are various ways of motivating and inspiring the team. Many companies spend significant time and resources to build vitality of the organization Quarterly or annual meetings with managers to share the result as well as plan of the company will motivate and inspire the managers. They will fell they are involved in achieving the results Celebrating success however small will also motivate people to aim for bigger success Circle 5..Execute with EXCELLENCE Keeping the plans and activities on track is one of the elements to execute with excellence. Circle 6..Produce extraordinary RESULTS Striving on meeting or exceeding the desired expectations in quality fashion is one of the behaviour characters which is essential for the company .back to Circle 1..When the desired results are delivered ,it will INSPIRE more TRUST
