I replied in a loud voice to the employees query. After a minute, when I was about to ride a tricycle, a police with some guards arrested me and sequestered my new Nikon AW100 (P 21,124.00) camera. I was forthwith brought to the Mayors Office (surrounded by so many employees, guards and City officials). The arresting police got so mad as he defended the noble employee. Minamaliit mo kami! the rude
police thereafter asked me to explain, why I disrespected their kabaro. I told him that the man was at my sides and I was so angry at that time, when I failed to have reached Dingalan to bring home the live fishes. I engaged them in a shouting discussion, resisting actual arrest. I showed them my old 2004 FPJ Disqualification Congress I.D. access pass. I told them that I am Judge Florentino Floro, who took the pictures without permission, submitting that there is no copyright or any other law which should punish my act as demeanor, crime or felony.

A desk officer called the PNP, while a tall man ordered me to sit and stop talking. I did protest their acts of taking my camera, including my unlawful arrest. In just 2 minutes, 4 police officers accompanied by a lady City Lawyer interrogated me. They explained that there is an ongoing HUC (highly urbanized city) political dispute between their Office and the other Party (kabilang kampo); may nag-vi-video raw sa hanay ng mga katunggali nila noon para di ma-aprobahan ang HUC sa plebisito. The police examined my old I.D. and was not satisfied, for it has no picture and unupdated. They pacified me by suggesting that I must get a written permission from their Office before I could take pictures. After more than 2 minutes, she could only see darkness in my palms. I asked her to make a vow or promise to pary the Holy Rosary daily, IN TIME. She agreed. When brilliant oblong yellow lights appeared in my palms, she asked me if I was still covering her eyes very well so that no Office lights would be seen by her sight. I told her that it was her statement that she only saw total darkness in my palms. Suddenly she began to literally weep. 1668 It has been the curse of our geography described as early as the 17th century. A storm index, a measure of a countrys victimization by typhoons for the years between 1970 and 2002. The Philippines came out with the highest storm index of 0.0370, followed by the Dominican Republic (0.0205), Jamaica and Haiti. Other measures on overall climatic disasters put our country in the top ranks. The Climate Risk Index ranks it the eighth most affected by extreme weather changes for the period 1990 to 2008. It was Typhoon Lucille in 1960 that made Retiro Street in Quezon City a gushing river, flooding the first floor of our two-story apartment. Then, it was Yoling in 1970, which brought so much suffering to the poorto such an extent that it even convinced many students of that time (including myself) to join the revolution. Ondoy is now the unforgettable nightmare for this generation of Filipinos. A new nightmare last week: a typhoon, Gener, creating a system that generated torrential rains.
