2012 Ontario Student Midwives Conference - Detailed Schedule

Friday, September 21, 2012 Opening Theme: In our studies, a great deal of focus is put on the challenges we will face in this profession, living life on-call, etc. We think that is appropriate, but we want to open the conference by connecting to each other and to the true heart and passion of Midwifery. Invited speakers will illustrate that student Midwives are the newest piece of a generations-old puzzle, and will help us see where our puzzle piece fits by acknowledging and respecting the traditions and history of Midwifery that support us in our current studies and future practices. Invited speakers will be followed by an open mic where practicing Midwives and faculty at Ryerson, as well as student audience members, are invited to share stories (details below) that illustrate their inspirations and beliefs. # Speaker and Topic 1.
