MELONHONEYDEW & CANTALOUPE BROCCOLI & CAULIFLOWER
Broccoli markets have become active as supply cannot meet demand. This is expected to last for the next 3 weeks. Cauliflower markets have jumped as demand increases.

Cantaloupe supplies are steady with smaller size fruit tightening. Good supplies and sizing on Honeydew.

Western markets are steady while Eastern markets have strengthened. Quality remains good.

ONIONS

Washington, Idaho and Oregon growing areas are in full swing. Quality is good.

Good supplies and quality. Imports from Mexico and Chile are available.

Green Pepper supplies are lighter causing markets to strengthen. North Carolina will begin in 2 weeks. Quality is good. Squash quality is excellent coming out of Georgia.

New crop limes have started. Supplies and quality have improved.

RED PEPPERS

Red and Yellow Pepper markets are steady with good quality.

CITRUS ORANGES

Smaller size fruit remains tight. Regreening is still prevalent due to the heat in growing areas.

PINEAPPLES

CUCUMBER & EGGPLANT

Cucumber markets have eased as we move south to North Carolina. Eggplant markets are steady with good quality.

As a result of extreme heat, there is a seasonal shortage of Pineapple, mostly affecting larger size fruit. Occasional instances of greener shell has been noted as well but quality remains good. These conditions are expected to last another 2 weeks.

POTATOES

Brix Scale Low: 8-10%

Good volumes and quality.

GRAPES

Green and Red grape markets are steady. Quality and availability is good. Black Grapes and Red Globes are also available.

TOMATOES

Markets have firmed as product is affected by previous months' heat. Supplies are coming primarily from California and Tennessee.

LETTUCE

Lettuce markets have eased. Quality is fair with occasional instances of insect activity, mildew and fringe burn. These conditions are expected to continue until the transition into Yuma.
