TASK: PART B

OBJECTIVES:

To determine if there is evidence that the average price of female fragrances is different from $120. Determine if there is evidence that the price of perfume is greater than $100 Determine if there is evidence of a difference in the mean cost of mens fragrances versus womens fragrances Determine if there is evidence of difference in the mean cost of females perfumes based on whether the intensity is either strong or medium and mild Determine whether there is evidence of difference in the mean cost of fragrances based on the origin of the product a) Setting the hypotheses to determine if there is evidence that the average price of female fragrances is different from $120: Null hypothesis; H : =120
0

Alternative hypothesis;H1: 120 Where refers to the mean price of female fragrances both in null and alternative hypothesis. Null hypothesis means that the mean price of female fragrances is equal to $120 while the alternative hypothesis means that the mean price of female fragrances is different from $120 Computing test statistic: t
