REVISION OF RENTAL LIMITS OF LEASED ACCOMMODATION ADMISSIBLE TO OFFICERS The rental limits of leased accommodation effective from 1.04.2009 in respect of officers, at different places, were advised vide HRDD Circular No. 526 dated 12.03.2009. 2. Keeping in view the widespread inflation, and the resultant increase in rents of accommodation, and in order to mitigate the impact on account of the above, the Board, in its meeting held on 22.02.2012, has approved revision in the rental limits of leased accommodation to the officers, as under:SCALE

:3: Major A Class Cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bangalore. Area I Areas having population of 12 lacs plus State Capitals. Area II All cities other than those included in Area I which have a population of 1 lac and more. Area III All other places not included in Area I and Area II. 3. The issue regarding increase in Rental limits for officers was also deliberated upon in the Central MRM Meeting held with All India PNB Officers Association. 4. The revised lease rental limits shall be the outer limits and no further discretionary increase will be permissible. The revised lease limits will be applicable in case of new lease agreements only and in no case upward revision in the existing lease agreements shall be considered before the expiry of existing lease period. Other instructions as conveyed by our Division from time to time be also adhered to. 5. The revised lease rental limits shall come into force w.e.f. 01.04.2012 and shall remain operative for a period of three years.
