Placement support
SMU-DE aims to provide its students a successful career. iRize, a placement cell promoted by Manipal Group works towards ensuring 100% employability of the SMU-DE students and taking efforts to place them in major corporate houses.
Job fairs
iRize and SMU-DE conduct job fairs across India. Over 70 job fairs have been conducted in past 4 months across 40 locations. These job fairs are conducted facilitating alumni and current students of SMU-DE. Over 3200 students and over 90 employers from multiple fields, such as, IT, Media, Automobile, BFSI, FMCG and Retail participated leading to over 350 placements.

These guest lectures would be organized at major locations across the country to ensure maximum students can take the advantage. The Bangalore session was addressed by Mr. Mohan Kuruvilla, Market Development Specialist and Corporate Sales Trainer who spoke on Essentials of B2B Marketing and Mr. L Selvam George, Chairman, 5E Serpraise, spoke on Leadership Continuum. Application Form
Applicants are required to apply online for the Flexi MBA Program. The application form can be accessed from the SMU-DE website www.smude.edu.in. Applicants shall receive an acknowledgment number on completion of the online application submission.
Fill the enquiry form by visiting the website www.smude.edu.in Fill up all the details in the online application You can make the payment via your credit card through the payment gateway or via demand draft You will be given an acknowledgment number on successful submission of the application form online Take a print of the application form. This form along with attested copies (signed by gazetted officer or notary) of certificates along with experience certificate towards eligibility has to be couriered to the address given below: New Admission Section Directorate of Distance Education Sikkim Manipal University Syndicate House, Manipal 576 104, Karnataka. University shall verify the application form and documents for admission to the programme.
Note: If the certificates/documents submitted by the candidate are found bogus/fake then admission granted stands cancelled and the fees remitted will also be forfeited.
Under this option, a student would pay the fees at the time of registration as per the schedule below. The semester fees is inclusive of tuition, examination and alumni fee. 1st Instalment 2nd Instalment Rs. 32,400 Rs. 9,000 3rd Instalment 4th Instalment Rs. 9,000 Rs. 9,000
This option allows a student to pay the total program fee one time; full time payment will be entitled for a waiver of 15% on the tuition fee. Thus, the total fees payable by the student would be Rs. 51,180 (Tuition Fee: Rs. 46,580 and Exam & other Fee: Rs. 4600) instead of Rs. 59,400.

Important Information
DE online Registration of Distance Education Online
For new admissions, students can now apply for SMU-DE programs, re-register to the programs in the subsequent semesters and also submit their re-sitting application for appearing for examinations, making the necessary payments through either DD or Credit Card or secure payment gateway of their choice. Student portal and important announcement: The online portal will allow students to login either through secure pin or password credentials, permit them to save draft, track the status of their applications. Students will also receive SMS/ email alerts/ notification from the University during various touch points. Overall, the online portal delivers excellent student-facing features and a unique end-user experience.
Admission Policies
v Intelligent, ethical, articulate and active individuals with a will to upgrade their skills are encouraged to pursue the University
programs.
v The applicant has to submit a completed application along with relevant enclosures to the University well within the due
date.
v If the application is complete in all respects and the University is satisfied with the applicants eligibility and suitability for
admission into the respective program, the students will be granted admission to Flexi MBA.
v No candidate is permitted to pursue more than one program at a time from SMU-DE. v The University reserves the right to accept or reject any application. v If the applications received from the students are not complete in any respect, those students may be given provisional
enrolment at the Universitys discretion. Such students will have to submit the required eligibility documents as communicated by the University at the earliest, upon receipt of which their enrolment will be confirmed subject to the eligibility fulfillment. Provisionally enrolled students will be allowed to appear in the examinations only after their enrolment is confirmed.
v Every student who has enrolled in the program of the University will be provided a program guide that details the learning
pedagogy and methodology to take maximum benefit from the program. Students are expected to go through in details and follow the same.
v An identity card will be provided to students after their enrolment in a program. v Those students who are unable to complete the program within the specified validity period are required to register
themselves afresh through readmission by paying the requisite fee as per the University regulations.

Credit system
The 'credit system' is followed in all programs, wherein each credit amounts to 30 hours of study.
Important note
Lateral entry scheme to 2nd Semester, students have to appear and pass the first semester examination. Books of first semester will be supplied by the University and Internal Assessment will be completed online.
Examination Results
The student is informed about the examination schedule and Examination Centre through the admit card and also through the website www.smude.edu.in. Eligible students will be given admit cards to appear in the term-end examination. Students will have to produce the identity card and admit card to appear in the term-end examination at the Examination Centre. The examination pattern is available in the program guide provided to the students. The results will be published on the website www.smude.edu.in and the marks card will be sent to the students. If a student fails to clear any of the papers (either in UE or IA or both), she/he has to re-appear for the relevant paper by applying to the University through the re-sitting application along with relevant fees, within the due date specified by the University.
Award of Degree
All successful students will be awarded MBA Degree by the University.
Jurisdiction
All the disputes relating to the University programs and activities are subject to Udupi, Karnataka, India jurisdiction only.
