Describe some things that are associated with the scots Scotland is a part of The United Kingdom of Great

Britain and Northern Ireland, and that's almost all we know about it. But there are several things that are usually associated with the Scottish culture. Those are kilt, bagpipe and scotch whisky . The kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats at the rear, originating in the traditional dress of men and boys in the Scottish Highlands of the 16th century. Since the 19th century it has become associated with the wider culture of Scotland in general, or with Celtic heritage even more broadly. It is most often made of woolen cloth in a tartan pattern. Although the kilt is most often worn on formal occasions and at Highland games and sports events, it has also been adapted as an item of fashionable informal male clothing in recent years, returning to its roots as an everyday garment. Bagpipes are a class of musical instrument, aerophones, using enclosed reeds fed from a constant reservoir of air in the form of a bag. The Scottish Great Highland Bagpipe and Irish Uilleann pipes have the greatest international visibility. Scotch whiskies are generally distilled twice, although some are distilled a third time and others even up to twenty times. Scotch Whisky Regulations require anything bearing the label "Scotch" to be distilled in Scotland and matured for a minimum of three years in oak casks, among other, more specific criteria. The basic types of Scotch are malt and grain, which are combined to create blends. Many, though not all, Scotch whiskies use peat smoke to treat their malt, giving Scotch its distinctive smoky flavour. The collie is a distinctive type of herding dog, including many related landraces and formal breeds. It originates in Scotland and Northern England. It is a medium-sized, fairly lightly built dog with a pointed snout, and many types have a distinctive white pattern over the shoulders. Collies are very active and agile, and most types have a very strong herding instinct. Use your knowledge to present interesting facts about the British royal family The British Royal Family is the group of close relatives of the monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Members and relatives of the British Royal Family historically represented the monarch in various places throughout the British Empire, sometimes for extended periods as viceroys, or for specific ceremonies or events. Today, they often perform ceremonial and social duties throughout the United Kingdom and abroad on behalf of the UK, but, aside from the monarch, have no constitutional role in the affairs of government. The Supreme Governor of the Church of England is the Queen. The Queen is considered the temporal governor of the church, since one of the rites of coronation is to be the 'defender of the faith.' The Archbishop of Canterbury is the spiritual leader of the church, and is appointed to that post by the monarch. It was Princess Diana, who the royal family referred to as the 'Bahamas Mama'. In February, 1982, the Prince and Princess of Wales vacationed in the Bahamas. Diana, six months pregnant, had her picture taken by the paparazzi wearing a bikini. After the photo was published, Diana was known as the 'Bahamas Mama'. The Duke of Windsor (the former Edward VIII) was given the position of Governor of the Bahamas four years after his abdication in 1940. Rumours that the Duke was a supporter of Hitler meant that, after a brief spell with the British Military Mission in France, he was sent as far away as possible during WWII. He became Governor of the Bahamas. The royal family had a very unfavorable impression of President Jimmy Carter, because he was considered 'too forward'. The Queen Mother had an active dislike for Jimmy who, when introduced to her, kissed her full on the lips. Rules of royal protocol state that you don't speak until spoken to when meeting a royal, much less kiss them. The Queen Mother's reaction? 'He is the only man since my dear husband died to kiss me on the lips!' The Buckingham Palace was bought by George III. He purchased Buck House from the Duke of Buckingham and added a few rooms, but it was during the reign of Victoria that the palace that we see today was created. The residence of the Queen Mother was Clarence House. Given to Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip after their marriage in 1947, Clarence House was occupied by the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret when Elizabeth became Queen. The Queen Mother lived there ever since. The life of monarchs and their families has always attracted attention of the society. While a whole empire's stability and might depends on a single person or family, every small detail about that person or family is important and interesting.

Hapiness is a value worth pursuing be happy this is one of the phrases we always wish ourselves ,to different holidays or every day.Happiness is one of the values that have no limits a value that can be easily found, but difficult achievable, because sometimes it is quite to see good in things that are less important and already make you happy. To my opinion happiness is a value not pursuing. Happiness will lead tu frustration because there is no perfect situation of perfect happiness. The pursuit of happiness is just that, a pursuit. Happiness can be only be found now.to be happy you have to want and expect to be happy despite your circumstances. If you are pursuing happiness you will perpetually be doing so and in such you will never experience true happiness. I just think that happiness seems to be just how satisfed someone is about her life and we need to pursuit it in different little things, with attention ,truing to not transform it in a obsession. The future role of technology in the world.Write about advantages and disadvantages Technology is the most important factor in the world today. We are living in a society which is called technologically civilized society .Every small work we do is technology dependent. Technology made our lives simple but much depedent on it. It have a lot of advantages we can sit in a corner and get connected to the world. In the health sector , technology advanced to a great extent that today a machine can assist a person in intensive care and monitor him. An one disatvantaage is that in a way we are coming closer with the machines developed technically. Technology makes us to be lethargic with little or no physical activity , but the same technology provides a inspiration or motivation to do creative jobs including physical activity. Technology is great , even if it have some disadvantages , technologies make our life , and our work very easy. What are the major events of national and social importance which are celebrated in the USA The culture of the United States is a Western culture originally influenced by European cultures. It has been developing since long before the United States became a country with its own unique social and cultural characteristics such as dialect, music, arts, social habits, cuisine, and folklore. The United states observes holidays derived from events in American history, religious traditions and national patriarchs. Thanksgiving has become a traditional American holiday which evolved from the custom of English pilgrims to give thanks for their welfare. Today, Thanksgiving is generally celebrated as a family reunion with a large afternoon feast. European colonization has led to many traditional Christian holidays such as Easter, Lent, St. Patricks Day, and Christmas to be observed albeit celebrated in a secular manner by many Americans today. There are many important events that are celebrated in the U.S.A. but the most important event is the Day of Independence which is celebrated every year on July 4th. It is federal holiday which commemorates the Declaration of Independence. It began to be celebrated since 1776. The American people got their independence from Great Britain. During that period of time, the president of the U.S. was general George Washington. Usually this day associates with parades, concerts, games and political speeches. It is the most favourite day of Americans, during the year. In the United States Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congressin 1777.[1] The United States Army also celebrates the Army Birthday on this date; Congress adopted "the American continental army" after reaching a consensus position in the Committee of the Whole on June 14, 1775. reality television changes its participants' lives Reality television is a genre of television programming that presents purportedly unscripted dramatic or humorous situations, documents actual events, and usually features ordinary people instead of professionalactors, sometimes in a contest or other situation where a prize is awarded. Viewers of reality television who are addicted to these daily programs often get deeply involved into any situation. Often, certain reality television shows are based on topics that have no thought process or conceptsReality television can be addictive and this is something the audience already knows. Even participants or contestants who finally get the 'lucky break' also face many effects of reality TV. The positive thing about such shows is that contestants get a chance to voice their opinions and showcase their talent, which depends upon the theme of the show. These otherwise ordinary people now live a life that is watched by people around the world. While some enjoy celebrity status, others fade into oblivion. Instant success upon winning a reality television show gives talented people a much-needed break. But instant success is a thing, not everybody can deal with. While some cash on to this success as they believe in making hay while the sun shines, others allow success to inflate their egos. Participants that only bask in the glory of their success and allow it to impact them negatively often indulge in outrageous behavior in public and even break laws. Sometimes, certain participants who do not achieve success even tend to go towards depression. The reality about reality television is something far different as compared to what may be seen on TV. Snippets from the grapevine reveal a different story. There are many other gimmicks that are used to capture an audience. It is believed certain scenes are staged and rehearsed and presented as 'reality' for the viewers after editing. So, what is the reality behind these shows? This is a question that still remains unanswered... Democracy Yes, democracy means fighting every day for what you deserve, and fighting even harder to keep other weaker people from getting what they deserve. Democracy means never having the Secret Police show up at your door. Of course, it also means never having the cable guy show up at your door. It's a tradeoff. Democracy means free television. Not good television, but free. Democracy is being able to pick up the phone and, within a minute, be talking to anyone in the country, and, within two minutes, be interrupted by call waiting. Democracy means no taxation without representation, and god knows, we've just about had the hell represented out of us. It means the freedom to bear arms so you can blow the "o" out of any rural stop sign you want. And finally, democracy is the eagle on the back of a dollar bill, with 13 arrows in one claw, 13 leaves on a branch, 13 tail feathers, and 13 stars over its head. This signifies that when the white man came to this country, it was bad luck for the Indians, bad luck for the trees, bad luck for the wildlife, and lights out for the American eagle. Education is the key of Success Every person from the childhood receive a good education. The first years of the life the pupil stays at home and learns many new things about the world. He tries to put up with the ambience ,parents Then he goes to the kindergarden where he learns to have friends,to play with everybody and of course he learns the numbers, the letters, to count, the alphabet. After kindergarden he makes the first steps to school, then to the university. And all our life we are in a long learning process. Education will help us to achieve every goal in future. In my opinion the base of education need to be put at the first years of life. From childhood we need to learn to to be responsible of our facts (asta nui cuv care trebu ) , to learn more.School helps us very much, it teaches us to be responsible, independent,to manage our time ,to try to do something for touching our goals.Being intellectual and learning good at school, will open to us in future many doors to success. We will have a love job, profession we will become a personality .
