My Reason The reason Ive chosen the programming sector of the computer industry is because its something that Ive always strived to know more and more about in which I started to learn the basics alone at home and as college came I instinctively chose the Interactive Media course for its infrastructure and the type of things wed be studying on the course which will also lead me onto going to university to progress and reach my dream of being a games developer. The choice of becoming a programmer isnt just because its something that interests me. Its something Im good at alongside having fun doing it. Theres always a learning experience but I pick it up quickly along with having reasonable maths skills I think Ill be able to make a half decent career out of it.

What level of job is this?

Given from the experience required and the vast amount of things they expect you to know I believe its a mid-range job in the media sector because they are asking only a small amount of experience in comparison to the 5 years plus they would ask for a high level job.

Whats expected of you?

From the information that the job description has given you will be developing new software along with updating old software and testing to make sure everything is working correctly, any bugs that may arise in previously developed software will be handed on to you to fix them. A lot of the job will

Lee Brookes
only consist of software development and fixing problems with already developed software but there may be other aspects of the job that arent in the job description such as idea generation for the software and so on.

Requirements
Theyre asking you as an individual to have a vast amount of knowledge of multiple things that I personally havent even heard of along with two years of programming experience. I presume what theyre asking for is something a person whom has already been in a similar job would understand or has been taught it through training courses or higher education.

Pay
The amount of pay theyre offering is a reasonable amount for a junior in programming and for the area its situated in is reasonably cheap to live in unlike earning the same amount in London where you would be struggling to live due to the high costs of virtually everything.

Holiday time
This particular job doesnt state what amount of holiday time youre going to receive but most permanent jobs will give roughly 3 4 weeks of holiday time per year.

Would I apply?
I personally would apply for this type of job but it would have to be early in my career to gain experience, the reason I wouldnt apply for it later in my career is because its not something I would intend on doing for a vast amount of time I personally want to go onto developing games using C++ and so on.

What would I need?

I would need to develop my skills substantially along with getting my degree and generally broaden my knowledge.

Opportunities
From what little knowledge I have I dont believe there is much development that you can do from this job with the company the likely outcome for what it would produce would be the opportunity. It would give you valuable experience and improve your skills and widen your knowledge therefore giving you the ability to have an access to a wider range of jobs when you choose find another job
