PART 1

INTRODUCTION
Introduction aims to lay the foundation of the topic by explaining all elements of the project in brief. For the purpose of this study, our introduction shall cover the following elements in brief: Hyundai Motor Company and Hyundai Motors India Ltd.- The history, taste of success in India, growth in operations and management over the years, main competitors, etc. Supply Chain Management in Hyundai- Their distribution network and Supply Chain Management will be explained in brief. It will be a representative of the entire automobile industry in India, and any differences hereto will be highlighted.

An introduction to the changing environment for the worse, and the regulations imposed by the international bodies (United Nations Kyoto Protocol) regarding permissible carbon dioxide emissions and policies undertaken by various countries (India in particular), to tackle them. How important a role does Supply Chain Sustainability play in abiding these regulations and what are automotive giants doing for the cause?

REVIEW OF LITERATURE
All the theories and related topics that support our study shall be explained in detail. It is an effort to establish the platform for the main subject. It gives a clear outlay of the scope of our topic. Several Supply Chain Management Theories The following topics shall be reviewed in this chapter: Automobile Industry in India- The main players, the sales growth prospects, Political support and management challenges. Minute relevant characteristics, if any, to Automobile Industry of Asia shall be included.

Government Rules and Regulations pertaining to the automobile industry. The sensitivity and acceptability quotient of the automobile industry towards the political forces will be briefed. Hurdles faced by the industry, if any, will be depicted. Indias dedication towards boundaries laid down by Kyoto Protocol can be reviewed through its carbon emission laws, what impact it has created on Automobile industry on a large-scale basis. In future, most giants plan to go eco-friendly with their automotives, but what are the long-term initiatives they are implementing? What is the industrial sector in India doing in general, to contribute to a better environment as per Kyoto Protocol? A detailed report on Hyundais eco-friendly- product plan Supply Chain Management and Sustainability theories and models are comprehended to relate to our study: a) Resource- Based View b) Transaction Cost view c) Knowledge Based View d) Strategic Choice Theory e) Institutional Theory f) Agency Theory (explains the importance for transparency between vendor, manufacturer and all parties involved in the supply chain)

g) Game theory (to measure the degree of competitiveness and collaboration between decisions taken by vendors, manufactures and customers)

An introduction to Triple A model of Supply Chain Management. These models will be studied in relation to the Supply Chain Management process at Hyundai Motors India Ltd. and argued to arrive at a joint consideration that can explain all elements of supply chain competitiveness. This is to support the assertion that an efficient supply chain management is a cordial relationship between the firms external factors (infrastructure, competitors location, proximity to suppliers, political stability, business environment, supply chain uncertainties, etc.) and operational and manufacturing practices of flexibility, inventory turnover, quality and responsiveness.

PART 2

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The research process of the study is fragmented into two parts: Primary Research

First hand research comprising of the Interview Method and Research Survey will be conducted. Five to ten representatives of Hyundai Motors India Ltd. will be interviewed and surveyed using the questionnaire method to understand the theories of the project from the Hyundai perspective. Secondary Research

Data collected from secondary research acts as the support system of the findings from primary research. The following sources of information will be referred to, to serve the purpose of secondary research: Online Web Portals News articles Magazines and other information portals Books, Weekly issues of famous authors

DATA ANALYSIS
The information so collected from various sources will be analysed to proceed to the critical evaluations and outcome of the study. Analysis of the data aims to establish the purpose of the study from the Hyundai perspective: Importance of sustainable Supply Chain Management and changing dynamics in the automobile industry in India. In general, understanding the complexity of the supplier-manufacturer alignment in achieving the common goal of an optimal Supply Chain. Incorporating the Game Theory and Triple A model to measure Hyundais efficiency in the Supply Chain Management. Reaction to the socio-political and environmental scenario in the country. Efforts to integrate value-addition features to enhance the sustaining Supply Chain. Management of expenses incurred in enhancing this Supply Chain.

CONCLUSION & RECOMMENDATIONS


The analysis of our findings shall help us arrive at a conclusion regarding the Sustainability and Supply Chain Management in Indian Automobile Industry. Based on the conclusions, we draw out the recommendations suitable for a better management and output of their Supply Chain. Conclusion will include a brief forecasting of the impact of Sustainable Supply Chain Management in Hyundai and the results obtained from Agency Theory and Game Theory 3 years hence. It will demonstrate the success quotient of the initiatives taken by Hyundai in creating a better environment in collaboration with all parties involved in its selling and buying process. Your views in recommendations are welcome.
