Issues in documentary

Accuracy: This is how accurate the documentary is to the subject matter. With in the documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne they have gotten very accurate information about Ozzy Osbourne himself as they didnt just interview people who new about him, they also interviewed people who new him personally. Balance: This is weather the arguments of the documentary are equal to allow the viewer at the end make their own views on the chosen subject. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is balanced through out the whole film, as it shows the facts about his not so great parenting towards his children and facts about his change and his kindness towards his fans. This gives both sides to him and lets the audience decide on their views of him. Impartiality: This is where the documentary has no side, so it is neither for nor against. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is a documentary that gives facts and opinions, however by the opinions being varied they dont persuade the audience into thinking one thing. Objectivity: is where the documentary gives facts to try and persuade the audience on one view. The film God Bless Ozzy Osbourne does give facts about the man himself, however it does not give the facts about one thing. It gives a range of facts that do not try to get the audience to think what the filmmaker thinks. Subjectivity: is giving the audience the facts and opinions and letting them decide on their own conclusion. The facts and opinions that are given in God Bless Ozzy Osbourne allow the audience to decide and come to a conclusion by themselves. Opinion: Is the thought of people and their own views on what they think about the subject. The documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne is not completely opinionated as the majority are facts about Ozzys life and what he had done. Bias: This mean the documentary is one sided about the subject matter and siding with only one view. In the documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne the main views on about him are, is he a good man, parent wise mostly, or is he a terrible man. Neither one of these views are shown without a counter view through out the film. Representation: A representation is the filmmakers views, and how they convey the subject matter. God Bless Ozzy Osbourne represents Ozzy Osbourne as John Osbourne, the man who he is and not a big star that everyone knows him to be. Privacy: this is how private and personal the documentary is and if it is edging on invading into someones life or not. The documentary about Ozzy Osbourne is a very personal film and goes into masses of detail about him. However, it does not invade his privacy as he has agreed to the filmmakers and given them the information needed to make the documentary.
