This Industry Has Wide Scope In This State Due To Its Emphasis On Literacy Level Which Has Reached To 77.39% In Last Few DecadesSikkim Manipal University Which Is A Renowned University Has Spreaded And Opened In Many States . Male Literacy Level Is 78.29% Thus Importance Of Education Is High In Sikkim . Female Literacy Level Is Also 61% And Government Has Passed Many Educational Schemes To Promote Education In Sikkim . Thus Education Field Is Such A Wide Field Where Many Industries Related To Education Can Come Up And Can Have A Wide And Competitive Market .
2.) Mining

Mining Industry Has Also Wide Scope In The Markets Of Sikkim . As The Government Had Found Out That The Land Of Sikkim Has Many Minerals And Till Date Much Part Of The Land Containing Minerals Is Uncovered . Thus This State Has Wide Scope Of Mining And Can Provide Much Growth To The GDP & Per Capita Income . The Employment Opportunities Is Also Increased In Recent Years .

3.) Textiles Textile Industry Has Flourished Very Much In Sikkim Due To Its Innovative And Cultural Look And Due To Its Unique Clothes Of Silk And Cotton. This Industry Has Increased High Employment Opportunities For Females As Government Of The Sikkim Has Taken Many Steps For The Females To Work At Home And Has Made The Wide Market For Textiles .

Handloom Is A Part Of The Make-Up Of Culture In Most Parts Of Asia - Including The North-Eastern Indian State Of Sikkim. Much Like Indigo Handloom Weavers The Sikkim Weave On Family Looms In Their Own Homes. Currently, 60.6 Per Cent Of The Weavers Are Women And 36 Per Cent Are From Scs And Sts. Similarly, Of The 67 Lakh Artisans In Rural And Semi-Urban Areas, 47.42 Per Cent Are Women, 23 Per Cent Belong To Religious Minorities, 12.38 Per Cent Are Sts, And 24.73 Per Cent Are Scs. Double The Production Of Handicrafts From Rs 43,600 Crore In 200708 To Rs 90,412 Crore In 201112. Double The Exports Of Handicrafts From Rs 23,400 Crore In 200708 To Rs 48,522 Crore In 201112.Create 11 Lakh Additional Jobs In The Handicrafts Sector. Export Target Of Rs 500 Crore And Credit Low Of Rs 150 Crore For NER For The Handicrafts Sector. Handloom Exports To Grow At 15 Per Cent Per Annum And Rs 10,000 Crore By The End Of The Plan. Outlay For Handlooms: Rs 1,370 Crore. Outlay For Handicrafts: Rs 975 Crore. Thus This Data Shows That This Industry Has Wide Scope In Sikkim .

5.) Tourism

Sikkim, With Its Spectacular Natural Beauty And Cultural Uniqueness Seeped In Religious Mysticism Beckons Tourists From The National And International Markets. The Fragile Environment Requires That Tourism Development Be Carefully Planned. Tourism Has Been Declared As Infrastructure Industry. Number Of Domestic Tourists In 2003 Were About 1, 76,659 While In 2008 Were More Than 5, 00,000 Tourists Visited The State And Till 2012 The Number May Be About 10,00,000 Tourists .

Numbers Of Foreign Tourists In 2003 Were About 11,966 While In 2008 About 23,000 Tourists Visited The State And Till 2012 We Expect About Same Response

Due To Various Global Issues. Thus From The Data We Can Say That This Industry Can Provide Much To Boost Up The GDP Growth Of The Country.
