The three children were Lcia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto. On May 13, 1917, ten year old Lcia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto were herding sheep at a location in their home village of Ftima, Portugal. Lcia described seeing a woman "brighter than the sun, shedding rays of light clearer and stronger than a crystal ball filled with the most sparkling water and pierced by the burning rays of the sun." Further appearances were reported to have taken place on the thirteenth day of the month in June and July. The general Message of Fatima is not complicated. Its requests are:

1. Prayer Our Lady is calling us to pray more. Just like what God wants us to do, Mama Mary is reminding all of us to pray. Our Lady stressed the importance of praying the Rosary. We must pray, especially the Rosary. By this frequent prayer of the Rosary, we will get the graces we need to overcome sin. 2. Repentance Our Lady is calling us to repent from our sins and do good to others, both in small and big things. 3. Purity of intentions Every time we pray to God, through the intercession of Mama Mary, we must be pure in our intentions as we ask for all them. How do we know if our intentions are pure? If it is for the good of many. In this special occasion, may we always ask for the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima. Just like Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, may we be children of God who do good things to please God. Living Rosary - Each bead is assigned to a child who will pray it aloud in front - There would be a rosary leader who will respond to each bead prayer - Provide visuals as guide of the children in praying the rosary (Ppt is available upon request) Eucharistic Celebration - Assigned children to be readers, offerors, ushers, choir - See attachment for list of symbolic offerings and prayers for the faithful - Provide visuals for the mass Snacks / Goodies - One solid/liquid for each child - Rosaries and rosary guide can also be given

First Mystery: The Annunciation

"The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a house in Nazareth to a virgin who was engaged to man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgins' name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Greetings favoured one! The Lord is with you." But she was much perplexed by his words and wondered what sort of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" The angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. And now, you relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son and the is the sixth month for here who was said to be barren. For nothing will be impossible with God." Then Mary said, "Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word." PRAYER: Mary, our beloved Mother, you showed us a true example of obedience by saying yes to God through the Angel Gabriel, to be the mother of Jesus. Help us to be like you to follow the instructions given to us, as long as it will bring us good and closer to your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Second Mystery: The Visitation

"Mary set out and went with haste to a Judean town in the hill country where she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the childe leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed in a loud cry, "Blessed are among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. For as soon as I heard the sound of our greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed the there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her by the Lord." PRAYER: Mary, our beloved mother, you have showed us how to give love and support by taking care of your cousin Elizabeth, despite of your own discomfort. Teach us to forget ourselves and reach out to those who are in need, most especially the sick and those who are alone and lonely. May we become a source of compassion to others. Amen.

Third Mystery: The Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ

"In those days a decree went out from Emperor Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration and was taken while Qui-rin-i-us was governor of Syria. All went to their own towns to be registered. Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David. He went to be registered with Mary to whom he was engaged and who was expecting a child. While they were there the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." PRAYER: Mary, our beloved mother, you have experienced the delight of having life inside your womb. Help us to give importance to the value of life, for it is a very precious gift from God. Teach us to appreciate our own lives by living it well and by following the examples of Jesus. Amen.

Fourth Mystery: The Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple

And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. ...When the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said: "Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: For mine eyes have seen thy salvation... A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel." And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother: "Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; PRAYER: Mary, our beloved mother, your family is the best example of a perfect family. You showed us how spending time together most especially in prayer, has brought your family closer to each other and closer to God. Help us protect our time with our families most especially the time to pray and go to mass. Teach us how to bring all the members of our family back to your Son. Amen.

Fifth Mystery: Losing and finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple
"Now every year his parents went to Jerusalem for the festival of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up as usual for the festival. When the festival was ended and they started to return, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but his parents did not know it. Assuming that he was in the group of travellers, they went a days journey. Then they started to look for him among their relatives and friends. When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to search for him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. When his parents saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been searching for you in great anxiety. He said to them, Why were you searching for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Fathers house? 50But they did not understand what he said to them. Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in years, and in divine and human favour." PRAYER: Mary, our beloved mother, thank you for showing us how to be a good witness by having a humble heart and spirit, always acknowledging God in everything. You were given the privilege to witness first the work of God through His Son, and yet, you all kept it in your heart. Teach us to be humble in spirit, that we may never acknowledge our talents and the things that were good at as ours, but acknowledged them as privilege from the Lord. You are our role model, and we desire to follow you. Amen.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of the redemption that are recalled therein, may we obtain the graces and virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer.

We pray for our government leaders, that they may set aside all their selfish ambitions and only pursue what is good for our country and fellowmen, we pray: Lord, hear our prayer. We pray for our lawmakers who continue to push for RH Bill, that they may realize that this bill will bring more problems and poverty in our country especially death of many souls, we pray: Lord, hear our prayer. We pray for our brothers and sisters who are sick and dying, that they may experience your gracious healing, and grant their families and loved ones the strength they need as they continue to take care of them, we pray: Lord, hear our prayer. We pray that as we start the year of faith, more young men and women will answer the Gods invitation to be priests, religious nuns and faithful members of His Church, spreading the Good News throughout the world, we pray: Lord, hear our prayer. We pray that young as we are, we become good witnesses of Gods love in our families, friends, classmates and especially those who are in need, that we may share our time, talents and treasure, and give joy and hope to the depressed and the weary, we pray: Lord, hear our prayer.
