We welcome AMY WARR to our worship services this evening. Amy is missionary with Camp Victory of Samson, Alabama.

As many of you know, Amy grew up in First Baptist and has gone on to impact the lives of hundreds of children throughout the Southeast. Many of our children got to know her during their time at Camp Victory over the last two summers. I hope you will come out to hear and support Amy in her ministry as she shares with us this evening. Beginning next Sunday evening I will lead us in a STUDY AND CONTRAST OF CHRISTIANITY AND ISLAM. It is my desire to correctly inform you about the differences of the two faiths and in so doing strengthen our faith in the Loving and Living Lord Jesus. These sessions will be done during the evening worship services and will be in a study format. THE FALL FESTIVAL will be held October 24th, and we need many folks to volunteer as we do every year. This is the biggest community event we sponsor each year and its success depends on those who serve. See me, Sonjia Brownhill, or call the church office if you are willing to serve. Thank you for your presence today. Lets worship together. Paul A Memorial Gift of a Communion Set, used today in the observance of the Lords Supper, has been given to First Baptist Church in memory Raymond Miles by Wynema Miles.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB MET

We had a great group of Seniors to participate in the Fellowship Club last Monday. Suzanne Brandt, Director of Keep America Beautiful and John Simmons shared ways we can be good citizens of Decatur County by recycling and handling our waste correctly. Join us on Monday, November 5 for our next get together. .

I would like start off by saying GREAT JOB to our students on the Youth Led Service on Sunday Night. I am proud to be a part of a ministry with such loving and devoted students. I also would like to say a thank you to all of the workers in the Shockwave program for all of the hours you spend in preparing songs, dramas, interpretive movements and ministering to the students. Youth Led Services would not be possible without all of your hard work. Be in prayer for our trips in which we are on this weekend. The boys are on the Appalachian Trail and the girls are at the Lake. Pray for our safety and for God to bless the fellowship and Bible Studies that we are having. Continue to keep an eye on the list of activities in the builder. We have a full schedule and it will help you plan for the activities in advance. YOUTH GUYS ADVENTURE

Pray for the 16 youth guys and their leaders as they are in North Georgia to take on the Appalachian Trail. We left Saturday and will return on October 9th. This trip features some great Bible Studies led by Brian and a lot of outdoor experiences in Gods beautiful creation. Safety is our biggest concern, but with a group this large, we wont be sneaking up on any wildlife.
