Spirituality is a Journey Alone I read a story somewhere recently. A little playful boy sowed some seeds.

He had learned in his class about trees and plants. Natural curiosity of a child propelled him to experiment with his new learning. After sowing the seeds, very soon his curiosity started converting into impulsiveness. Every hour he would go and see if there was any change. Next day, he could not hold himself and he dug into the soil to see if the seeds had sprouted. He got very disappointed to note that there was no change. He went to his teacher and started questioning him. When the teacher explained to him it takes time for the seeds to sprout, his curiosity doused to some extent. Yet, he could not hold for long and again next day he dug into the soil. This way he continued to dig day after day and finally the seeds did not sprout at all. The child is ignorant, since he does not know, he has not yet gone through the grilling of life, he has not tasted the fruit of so called knowledge of world. Though the teacher was trying to teach, he could not learn. At the same time, the child is impatient due to his ignorance. His impatience to see the result of his experiment, he did not allow the seeds to sprout. Then where is the difference between a child and an adult human being. Do we become patient and tolerant as we grow up? After having possessed with all so called knowledge, human beings have become more and more impatient. As time goes, layers after layer of superficial knowledge, gets deposited over human mind, loosing touch with the inner self. The connection with the outer world is deep, that we continually miss the point that everything takes its own time to grow, flower and bloom. The result is intolerance with each other, lack of peace and harmony within families, lovers, friends and society. To find peace and harmony, only solution is to find oneself, be at peace with self and reach to the core. Then only shall the spirit become free and be full of love. When someone pulls away from the crowd in an attempt to find self, such individual is not considered as normal. The attempt is to pull him/her back into the crowd. Even the ones who are the closest allies donot help. Every attempt is made, not to allow the seed to sprout, if the seed gets sprouted, the attempt will be that it doesnot grow, and still somehow it manages to grow, the attempt will be to ensure the flowers donot blossom. The reason is simple, human mind seeks conformation for everything. Though it may have the curiosity to experiment, yet it doesnot have endurance to wait for results. Since human being is so bound by its own identity, he/she cannot tolerate the freedom of even those who are supposed to be the loved one. Such is the fallacy of mind. Spirituality is ones own experience; it is an experience which cannot be expressed in words. Therefore, no matter whatever explanation one gives, comprehending the essence behind it is difficult. Duality of mind cannot read the language of the soul. One who is treading on this path understands quite soon, that spirituality is a journey alone
