Q: Can you describe the extension? A: Once installed, the extension presents a new toolbar to ArcMap users. The 'Drafting Tools' toolbar. This toolbar streamlines the editing experience for drafting professionals. The toolbar has a TIP panel that can optionally show detailed command descriptions and usage tips.

Behind the scenes, the storage, editing and display of primitive points, lines and polygons is intelligently managed. Users can commence drafting without needing to pre-create data, define coordinate system settings, set up layer properties, manage edit sessions, select target layers or specify edit tasks. Q: Can I create and edit features in my own layers? For Advanced Users: A: Yes. On each menu there is a command to create a new point, arc, line or polygon layer. To edit features in your own layers, make the layer active in the Table of Contents: To Copy one or more features from and Paste then into another layer: 1) Select one or more features. 2) Right click, select Copy. 3) Change the Active Layer on the Editing toolbar to the layer you want the features to go to. 4) Right click, select Paste. Q: Can I delete, copy and paste features? A: Yes. Q: How do I modify Feature Code values in the Drafting geodatabase? A: Feature Codes can be edited or deleted and new Feature Codes can be added. You can do this either for a single feature code, or for many feature codes. The Feature Codes table in the geodatbase is available if you want to batch update Feature codes. A: To add or edit a single Feature Code: 1) Right click on the geodatabase in ArcCatalog and select Properties from the context menu. For Advanced Users: 2) Activate the Domains tab and highlight the Feature_Codes domain. ArcToolbox has tools for converting domain lists to and from editable tables and for adding new domain Codes and Descriptions from within ArcMap. 3) To add, scroll to the bottom of the Coded Values list and enter a new Description and Code. TIP: Feature Codes allow for quick editing of points, lines and polygons with a logical meaning

4) To edit, find the Feature Code you want to edit and modify the Description or Code.
