Aviaiton Litter Kit STC # SH2263NM
PART I GENERAL
The MDHI (Tracor) TAHH00001 Litter Kit allows the entire side of the helicopter to be opened for quick and easy insertion of one or two litter born patients. The kit instal lation and conversion can be made in under three minutes by trained personnel. The helicopter can be operated with doors closed with no changes to operating limitations or with doors off at a reduced VNE. A further option is to strap the doors held open op erating at a speed limit of 20 MPH. The litter kit is normally stowed with two litters in a tray on the aft face of the canted bulkhead and miscellaneous parts in a bag stowed aft of the aft passenger seat. To install the kit, four latches are released which permit the door post to swing aft with the aft door. With the forward door also open the entire side of the helicopter is now open for access. The remainder of the kit can now be installed, litters loaded and de part in an air ambulance mission. Both electrical and mechanical warning devices are provided to advise of an unlocked door post or litter. Except as modified by this Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement, operation in com pliance with Section II of the Basic Approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual is mandatory. Other sections of the RFM or Supplement are recommended procedures.
