We have been busy with special events and retreats here for several weeks and we have several

more weeks of special events coming up. Beginning tonight I will lead us in a Study of Islam. The purpose of this study will be to contrast the teachings of Islam with Christianity and to give us a means of sharing the Gospel with those who believe this teaching. I plan to continue this study for several weeks. Next Sunday Morning in the 11 AM service we will observe Bearcat Sunday. The morning will start with a youth Sunday school rally in the Sanctuary featuring A.T. Neal, former Auburn Tiger and member of the Auburn National Championship team. Then the Football team and cheerleaders will be in our worship services. As Chaplain for the Football team, I am excited to have these young men, their Coaches and Cheerleaders in our service. Right after this will be our community outreach event, The Fall Festival. It will be held here at the church on Wednesday evening, October 24 from 5 until 7pm. Many volunteers are needed for this event and you may volunteer by calling the church office. Every Sunday is special at First Baptist Church. Thank you for being here on this very Special day. Paul

LADIES CHOIR SINGS TONIGHT

All ladies are invited to join us as we share special music in the worship service this evening. Well meet in the BARACA classroom at 6:15 to rehearse. Lets make a Joyful Noise for the Lord!

Well, after walking 13.5 miles with a 40lb pack, getting rained on every night, temperatures almost reaching freezing, and being sniffed by a bear, I can say that I am glad to be home. We did have a good time on the trip to the Appalachian Trail and from what I hear the girls had a great time at their retreat. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers and helping us make these events possible. Thank you to all of the students that helped in the Rivers Alive clean up day. We had a good time of fellowship and we got to give back a little to the community. Continue to keep an eye on the list of activities in the Builder. We have a full schedule and it will help you plan for the activities in advance. YOUTH GUYS ADVENTURE

Thanks for your prayers for the 12 youth guys and leaders who took on the Appalachian Trail last weekend. God provided safety and protection while we traveled on the highways, the trails and slept (near things that go bump in the night!)

SAINTS ALIVE
We will rehearse tomorrow, Oct 15th.
