Like all the best ideas, MyShowcase began with a vision: we wanted to bring something different to the world of beauty shopping to make it a more accessible, fun and rewarding experience for everyone, from the buyer to the seller and the brand creator. We are passionate about beauty and entrepreneurialism. Nancy has founded two successful businesses in her career; Kate has edited the beauty pages for the Telegraph Magazine for over a decade. MyShowcase unites our interests in a way that makes it easier for you to discover and buy beauty, it supports the creators of independent beauty brands by showcasing their products, and it provides an opportunity for women to have their own flexible businesses selling these products as MyShowcase Stylists. 5 StEpS tO SMOKy!
1. priME lids with a base to keep shadow stable. 2. traCE along your upper lids with a soft eye pencil, from outer corner inwards and close to the lash-line. Do the same halfway along your lower lids. Soften the definition by smudging the lines with a Q-Tip. Liquid eyeliner works as well as pencil on upper lids, but its best applied over eyeshadow and gives harder definition because its not smudgeable: if you use it be confident and create cats eye flicks at the outer corners of your eyes. 3. apply eyeshadow charcoal, dark brown or blue to eyelids extending the application up to the crease between lid and browbone. Blend well but dont worry if it doesnt look perfect, the whole point of a smoky eye is that it looks a bit like you have slept in it (which of course you have not). 4. tOuCH highlighter an iridescent cream or shadow onto your brow bones. 5. aDD mascara black and lots of it.
