    To: Virginia Republican Grassroots Leaders From: Dave Rexrode, Executive Director of the Republican Party of Virginia Subj: Obama pulling out of Virginia Over the past few days we have seen several news reports that the Obama for President campaign might be pulling out of Virginia. We first learned through media reports that former Obama Campaign Manager David Plouffe suggested that Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia were beyond the Presidents reach and that they were going to build a firewall around Nevada, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Ohio in a last ditch effort to try and win this election. Since then we have seen the Obama campaigns most recent ad buys. Of the seven battleground states they just made additional TV buys in, Virginia was dead last in spending with just a $199k buy compared to $1.6 million in Ohio, $722k in New Hampshire, $770k in Wisconsin, and $235k in Nevada. Folks like NBCs Chuck Todd have started saying that Virginia is slipping away from the Democrats, and after the latest round of polls showing Mitt Romney with a lead in Virginia and Gallup nationally showing Mitt Romney up by 6%, momentum is fully on our side and I can understand why the Obama campaign might be pulling out of Virginia. While these reports appear to be good news, we cannot allow ourselves to believe them. We must spend the last two weeks of this campaign running like we are 3-points down. Since early spring, our grassroots volunteers have spent untold hours knocking on doors and talking to voters. Last week, our volunteers knocked on our one-millionth door. Thats right, Virginia volunteers have knocked on over a million doors and we have now made more than 4.5 million volunteer voter contacts. Our volunteers have worked too hard to let up now we will finish what we started and we will win Virginia for Mitt Romney on November 6th. We have two weeks left in this campaign and we need to run hard through the finish line, elect Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, George Allen, and our Republican Congressional candidates, then we can take a break. Despite the reports that the Obama campaign may be abandoning the Commonwealth, we will not let up in our efforts to ensure Gov. Romney and the Republican ticket win Virginia. Clear eyes. Full hearts. Cant lose.
