Pray through Gods Story (Week 43)

Focus on God
Jesus is the great I AM, truly God and truly Man. Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58) Jesus is the light of the world. Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. (John 8:12) Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26)

Respond from the Heart

Come to Jesus and ask him to fill you with the fullness of his Spirit. On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive. (John 7:37-39)

Seek First the Kingdom

Pray that the Holy Spirit will open blind eyes that they may see and believe in Jesus. Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and having found him he said, Do you believe in the Son of Man? He answered, And who is he, sir, that I may believe in him? Jesus said to him, You have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you. He said, Lord, I believe, and he worshiped him. Jesus said, For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind. (John 9:35-39) Pray for Gods other sheep scattered among the unreached peoples of the world, that they may be gathered under the care of Jesus, the Good Shepherd. And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. (John 10:16)

Present Your Requests

Pray for more sensitivity in hearing and following the voice of Jesus. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. (John 10:2-4)

Close in Celebration
Praise God for the freedom from sin that you now have in Christ. Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:34-36)
