Call Centre number: +974 4449 5522 Frequently Asked Questions Q. How can I open a Securities trading Account A. 1.Visit any of Commercialbank branches or the Securities Trading lounges to sign up. It is also be available on www.cbinvest.com.qa or call 44449 5522. 2.If you are an existing Commercialbank Internet banking user, you can register online for the brokerage services. Q. Who can open a Securities Trading Account A. Anyone in an individual capacity Qatari or Expat and Companies. Q. Can a non-Cb customer open a Securities Trading Account A. Yes Q. What are the requirements for a customer to set up this service and start trading? A. 1.NIN National Investor Number: Each investor must have a NIN issued by Qatar Exchange. For new applicant to QE (i.e. without a NIN), visit QE personally with your QID or Passport. Fee for issuing a NIN by QE is QR100 payable only in cash. 2.Complete the CBIS Securities Trading Account Opening Form and provide the following: a.Valid Qatari ID (for Resident) b.Valid Passport (for Non-Resident only) c. Valid Certied Commercial Registration (for Companies) and the list of authorized signatories with a copy of their IDs / passports 3.Once the Account Opening Form is completed, hand it to any branch or send the documents to our Brokerage Ofces (on the 2nd Floor, Grand Hamad Avenue or 1st Floor, Cb Plaza) to be processed within 2 working days. 4.Once the Securities Trading Account (4998 - ******- 039) is opened, you will be able to transfer funds to this account. Q. Methods to trade A. You can trade on the Qatar Exchange by one of the following means: a)Through the online trading application Login to TradeDirect on www.cbq.com.qa / www.cbinvest.com.qa b)By telephone to the broker c)By Fax (+974 44119578) d)By completing a BUY or SELL order form You will receive a conrmation via SMS for every lled order. Q. How can I fund the Securities Trading Account? A. 1.Account transfer via Commercialbank Internet Banking or Branches 2.Telex transfer from any banks 3.Cheque or Cash deposit at Commercialbank branches Q. Can I sell shares bought through another broker? A. For securities already settled and in the clients name Yes, if you transfer all your holdings to the Central Depository held in Qatar Exchange to allow CBIS to sell your shares. If you have not transferred your holdings to the Central Depository with Qatar Exchange, you can only sell through the designated broker that you purchased the shares from. Alternatively, you can transfer your shares from the purchased broker to CBIS to facilitate the sale. For securities pending settlement (i. e within T + 2 days) You cannot transfer shares to another broker if they are pending settlement. Hence, the sale must be transacted through the same purchased broker. Q. How can I withdraw from my Securities Trading Account? A. Withdrawal from the Securities Trading account can only be initiated from the online brokerage system or by request to the Brokers. Your preferred account (eg savings or current account with Commercialbank) will be set up per your Nominated Account stated in your Application Form. Q. What is the commission rate for trading on the Qatar Exchange? A. 0.275% on the traded value subject to a minimum of QR 30 per trade. Q. Can I access my entire share portfolio in Qatar Exchange through CBIS? A. No, only the portfolio purchased through or transferred to CBIS. You can view his portfolio through the online application after logging in with your username and password. You can only access your entire share portfolio only through Qatar Exchange online at www.qe.com.qa. Q. Can I see and print my portfolio statements myself? A. Yes, you can view all your holdings with CBIS which can be exported to pdf or excel and can be printed off as well. Q. How is user and password name generated for Tradedirect? A. A username and password will be generated and sent to you within two business days. 1.The password (which is one-time use only) will be emailed to your registered email address and the username will be sent via SMS to your registered Qatar mobile. 2.If you do not have a Qatar Mobile / have an overseas number, your username will be provided to you over the phone while you password will be sent to your registered email. 3.At rst login, you will be prompted to change your password 4.If you forget your password, call +974 4449 5522 to reset password Q.
