Professor Czinkota specializes in marketing and international business strategy. His current research focuses on trade policy, global market entry and expansion strategies, and export development policies. Professor Czinkota teaches courses in trade policy, foreign market entry strategies, international marketing analysis and export management. He is an associate professor of international business and marketing at the Georgetown McDonough School of Business. Professor Czinkota was a deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Commerce from 1986 to 1989. He also served as head of the U.S. delegation to the OECD industry committee and as senior trade advisor for export controls. Professor Czinkota has consulted with AT&T, IBM, General Electric and Nestle, and has assisted various governmental organizations in effective trade promotion policies. He was listed as one of the three most productive contributors to international business research by the Journal of International Business Studies. He is the senior author of two college textbooks, International Marketing and International Business, in their 10th and 8th editions, respectively, and of Global Business: Positioning Ventures Ahead (2011) which reflects the challenges of international management in a world of conflict and uncertainty. In 2012, the Universidad Ricardo Palma in Lima, Peru, christened the Michael Czinkota School of Global Marketing and International Business.

Prof. Dr. Pinkwart is Dean of HHL and the chairholder of the Stiftungsfonds Deutsche Bank Chair of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at HHL. After becoming a banker at Dresdner Bank he studied business economics at the University of Mnster and economics at the University of Bonn, where he also earned his doctorate (summa cum laude) in 1991. In 1998, he accepted a full-professorship at the University of Siegen, where he has been Professor for Business Economics esp. small and medium-sized enterprises. Because of his membership in the German Bundestag from 2002 to 2005 and in the German Bundesrat from 2005 to 2010 he got a sabbatical. He served as the Minister for Innovation, Science, Research & Technology and Deputy Prime Minister of the state of North-Rhine Westphalia from 2005 to 2010. Before he started his new positions at HHL in April 2011 he made a research visit at AICGS, Johns-Hopkins-University Washington. He has been active for years in various supervisory boards and advisory committees.

Jrgen Althans, born 1950, studied Business Administration at the University of Mnster (Germany) from 1972-1977. In 1981, he finished his doctoral thesis on The transferability of advertising campaigns on international markets. From 1982 to 2007 he worked with Gruner + Jahr, Europes largest magazine publisher, as Managing Director and Publisher of Stern/Geo/Capital as well as other magazines and websites. Since 2008, he has been an independent media consultant and business coach. Since 1992, he has been an associate lecturer and assistant professor in International Marketing at the University of Rostock, Germany. Daniel C. Bello is the Board of Advisors Professor and Director of the Institute of International Business, and holds a joint appointment in the Marketing Department, in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). Previously, he was on the faculty at the University of Notre Dame and held management positions in the Product Development Group at Ford Motor Company. His research interests include international relationship management and global supply chain strategy. Recent projects focus on inter-organizational relationships in international, cross-border contexts including global alliances, business-to-business, and distribution channels such as exporter-importer settings. He has published widely in professional journals such as Journal of Marketing, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, among others. He co-edited the International Marketing volume in the Wiley International Encyclopedia of Marketing. Currently, he serves as Marketing Editor (2007-2013) of the Journal of International Business Studies, a scholarly journal published by the Academy of International Business. Previously, he served as Editor-in-Chief (2003-2007) of the Journal of International Marketing, a scholarly journal focusing on international marketing and published by the American Marketing Association. He also has served or serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, among others. Dr. Bello holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Wisconsin and a Ph.D. from Michigan State University.

Don Bonker is a former U.S. congressman and a leading authority on international trade and investment and has broad experience on foreign policy issues. He is an executive vice president at APCO Worldwide. Prior to joining APCO in 1989, Congressman Bonker served for 14 years in the United States House of Representatives from the State of Washington. He was a senior member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, specializing in international trade, global environment and human rights issues. He chaired House subcommittees, including the Subcommittee on International Economic Policy and Trade, Subcommittee on Human Rights and International Organizations, and Subcommittee on Africa. He also served on the Merchant Marine and Fisheries Committee and is considered an authority on U.S. maritime policy. Congressman Bonker, a national authority and spokesman on international trade for the Democratic Party in the 1980s, chaired former House Speaker Tip ONeills Trade Task Force, which led to passage of the 1988 Omnibus Trade Act; headed the House Export Task Force; and authored or was principal sponsor of significant trade legislation, such as the Export Trading Company Act and the Export Administration Act. _____________________________________________________

Micahel Christofi is a marketing specialist within the banking industry of Cyprus since 2011. Previously, he had been the marketing manager of Xerox in Cyprus. He has a Bachelor Degree in History and Archaeology, a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He is also a Chartered PR practitioner and holds a Prince 2 practitioners professional certification. Currently, he is a Doctoral candidate (DBA) and at the same time he is pursuing the Professional banking diploma from the American Institute of Banking.

Boryana Dimitrova is a PhD Candidate at Drexel University. Her main research interests are in the areas of global retailing, global marketing, national retail structure, and consumer shopping behavior. She had published articles in The Journal of Marketing Channels and The Journal of Historical Research in Marketing. Subhash C. Jain, Ph.D. is Professor of International Marketing, has served as CIBER Director since 1995 and will serve as Director of UConn CIBER during 2002-2006. He is also Director of the GE Capital Global Learning Center (GECGLC) at the School. His teaching, consulting, and research activities include marketing strategy and multinational marketing. Dr. Jain is the author of more than 100 publications, including articles in Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of International Marketing; Journal of Economic Abstracts, Long Range Planning, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Columbia Journal of World Business. Dr. Joseph Johnson is Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Miami. His research interests are: the dynamics of financial bubbles, financial implications of marketing strategy, new product valuation, measurement and management of brand equity, algorithms for profitable customization of marketing promotions, measurement of consumer feedback through social media and international marketing. His research has appeared in leading journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of International Marketing and Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications. His paper on market entry strategies into India and China won the Paul Root Best Paper Award from the Journal of Marketing in 2008. His research on financial markets has been featured in Financial Times of India, MSNBC and Kiplingers Personal Finance. He has appeared on the TV news show Nightly Business Report to discuss consumer financial decision making. His teaching interests include New Product Introductions, Strategic Brand Management, Marketing Strategy and International Marketing. He is a member of the Mathematical Society of America and has been mentioned in Marquis Whos Who in America 2012. 4

Craig C. Julian, PhD is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing in the Southern Cross Business School at Southern Cross University in Coolangatta, Queensland. He has won competitive research grants, including a large ARC Discovery Grant, and has over 100 publications to his name. His work has appeared in quality international journals such as the European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Small Business Management, Journal of Macromarketing, the Journal of Business Research and many others. Gary A. Knight is an associate professor in the Department of Marketing in the College of Business and director of the Multinational Business Operations Program. He has been ranked one of the top 15 most prolific scholars in the U.S., and one of the top 30 world-wide, in the six leading international business journals. Knight teaches undergraduate and MBA courses and has spent numerous summers overseas as a visiting professor, visiting research scholar and teacher in FSUs International Programs. Ireene Leoncio is a Candidate for Master of Public Relations and Communications at Georgetown University and expected to graduate in May 2012. She is pursuing an Integrated Marketing and International Communications Concentration. Ireene is currently working with Mediacoms global headquarters in London, UK for her Capstone. She is responsible for the research and strategy development of a social media adaptation to 75 local markets for a top client- Royal Dutch Shell. Aside from being a full-time student, she is also a Teaching and Research Assistant for International Business with Dr. Michael Czinkota and she is the President of Georgetown International Graduate Students Organization. Before coming to Washington D.C, Ireene was a brand manager for Unilever and Mead Johnson in Southeast Asia. She was responsible for brand building campaigns and product innovations for the personal care, nutritionals and food consumer brands. Erasmia Leonidou works as Human Resources officer in the Training and Development Department at local Bank in Cyprus. She is currently participating in a DBA program at the Gloucestershire University with concentration in Human Resource Management. More precisely the thesis subject is Intercultural Competence as a key success factor for customer service performance in the banking industry. She has recently (2011) acquired the Professional Qualification in Project Management Prince 2 Practitioners. She has studied at the American Institute of Banking and obtained the General Banking Diploma in 2010. Her BA was in History and Archaeology from University of Cyprus (2006). Her Mother Tongue is Greek, but she also speaks English and German. Tellis (PhD Michigan) is Professor Marketing, Management, and Organization, Neely Chair of American Enterprise, and Director of the Center for Global Innovation, at the USC Marshall School of Business. Dr. Tellis is an expert in innovation, global market entry, new product growth, quality, and advertising. He has published 4 books and over 100 papers (http://www.gtellis.net) that have won over 20 awards, including the Frank Bass, William Odell, Harold Maynard (twice), and Fellow of INFORMS Society of Marketing Science. Dr. Tellis is a Distinguished Professor of Marketing Research, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, a Senior Research Associate at the Judge Business School, and a Fellow of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge University, UK. He is an Associate Editor of Marketing Science and Journal of Marketing Research and has been on the editorial review boards of these journals and the Journal of Marketing for several years. Mr. Zapanta is the President and CEO of the United States- Mexico Chamber of Commerce which is based in Washington, D.C. The United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, binational corporation that promotes trade and investment between the U,S. and Mexico and maintains 14 regional offices in the U.S. and six in Mexico. He is also Chairman of the Board of the U.S. - Mexico Cultural and Educational Foundation and Chairman of the Reserve Forces Policy Board (RFPB). Mr. Zapanta has worked in business, government, and politics for over thirty-six years. In the private sector, he worked as an industrial engineer for Bethlehem Steel, and as Director of Governmental Affairs for ARCO until his retirement in 1993. Mr. Zapanta earned a Bachelors of Arts in 1966, a Master of Public Administration in 1973, and completed his Doctoral studies in International Political Economy from the University of Southern California.
