The General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Yeddumailaram, Medak Dist reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies, if necessary (b) The General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Yeddumailaram reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/ cancel the recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reason thereafter. The person selected against the PH and Ex-servicemen quota has to be placed in the appropriate category of General (unreserved) /SC /ST/OBC as the case may be.

Essential Matriculation or its equivalent and National Council of Trades for Vocational Qualification Training (NCTVT) certificate {i.e., National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade failing which by I.T.I or its equivalent Diploma/Certificate for the posts . NOTE: The Degree and Diploma in Engineering will not be accepted as basic qualification for Direct Recruitment. An application Fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only) to be paid through Demand Draft only. NOTE : IN CASE OF ANY CHANGE IN THE ABOVE SCHEDULE OF DATES, THE SAME WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE. (05) SCHEME OF EXAMINATION The selection will be made purely on basis of merit obtained by the candidate in Written Examination. The Selection process will comprise of: The question papers of Written Test will be Trilingual ie., English, Hindi and Telugu. The selection process shall comprise of Written Test of 100 marks and Trade Test (practical). Written Test shall be fully objective type and OMR based. The Trade Test (Practical) shall be only qualifying in nature, without any marks. On the basis of merit list based on marks obtained in Written Test, candidates @ 1.25 times the number of vacancies shall be called for Trade Test (Practical). (F) WRITTEN EXAMIATION : The syllabus for the Written Test will be broadly as that of the NCTVT Examination syllabus prescribed for the respective trade and as per the functional requirement of the trade. (G) TRADE TEST : The syllabus for Trade Test (Practical) will be as per Trade Test Specification of the Semi-Skilled grade of the relevant trade. TRADE TEST SPECIFICATION FOR FITTER (GENERAL) SEMI-SKILLED GRADE Ability to start and stop the compressor, Pumps & Motors, carry out routine lubrication, observe pressure gauges ,take meter reading, control water temperature where necessary. ii) Ability to detect minor running faults with the compressor motor and pumps in his charge. iii) Ability to distinguish between compressor oils and other oils. iv) Ability to pack glands in the pumps and elementary working knowledge of centrifugal pump or ram pumps. v) Ability to use file and chisel to carry out simple hand operations such as filing, tapping, sawing, screwing, chipping etc., to the tolerance considered reasonable for such operation. vi) Ability to estimate correct length of rivets required and to set up rivets hot or cold by hand or pneumatic hammer and should have working knowledge of various types and uses. vii) Ability to use scraper / chisels for the purpose of removing scales marks, line scores and small dents from components or raw material, bringing these into a condition suitable for inspection. viii) Ability to grind simple tools, scrapers, chisel etc., for own use. ix) Ability to read simple drawings and mark off correctly the centre of holes to be drilled and straight lines on the components with appropriate tools including vernier / height gauge etc., for carrying out simple operations such as drilling shaping, planning or drilling and boring. x) Ability to take simple measurement direct from existing plant or store and transcribe them to a fresh components. xi) Ability to carry simple assembly jobs of repetitive nature and should have knowledge of various components used in a particular store under assembly. xii) Ability to read simple Blue Prints or take measurement using a foot rule and calipers (internal and external). xiii) Ability to carry out simple fitting operations such as fitting, chipping, reaming, tapping or screw cutting by hand taps and Dies. xiv) Elementary ability to use simple workshop machines such as that required for drilling and rough grinding on emery stone. xv) Ability to read micrometer and vernier and other suitable instruments normally connected with this trade. xvi) Must have elementary knowledge of refrigeration compressor, blower and other equipments in air conditioning plants, Ability to start and stop air conditioning and in proper sequence. xvii) Ability to read volt meter, thermometer, hydrometer and record pressure temperature, relative humidity etc., i) (A) (B) (C) (D) (E)

Ability to carry out minor repair of refrigeration compressor, cooling tower, blowers, desealing of compressor tubes, chilled water system of AC plant and inter cooler of air compressor using de-sealing compounds. xix) Ability to detect leakage of refrigerant in air conditioning plant and take measures to prevent loss of refrigerant from the system. xx) Must carry tools, spare parts and job pertaining to his own work weighing 20 kgs (approx). In addition to these ability to carry out any other work of similar nature.

TRADE TEST SPECIFICATIONS FOR MOULDER SEMI-SKILLED GRADE i) ii) iii) iv) v) vi) Ability to check, clean, apply mould dressing mixture to cast iron, moulds, assemble and fit the moulds. Ability to knock out moulds and strip castings. Knowledge about various grades of sands and binders. Ability to prepare sand to the required proportion for making cores and moulds. Ability to make cores and mould from the patterns. Should possess preliminary knowledge about risers and runners. Ability to operate die-casting machines and pugging will independently. Ability to fix dies and detect common defects in die-cast component. Ability to read simple drawing.

TRADE TEST: A practical demonstration to satisfy the above requirements and an oral examination. (H) Final merit will be decided on the basis of written test. In the selection process, other things being equal ie., marks being equal, trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the recruiting Ordnance Factory and Sister Ordnance Factories shall be given preference in the order in which they are placed. In between the trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the recruiting factory, preference shall be given to those who are senior i.e., if two or more Ex-Trade Apprentices secure the same marks then preference shall be given on the basis of seniority. Similarly, in between the trained Ex-Trade Apprentices of the Sister Ordnance Factories, preference shall be given to those who are senior as mentioned above. In all other cases of tie, the selection will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in the Written Examination only. 06. GUIDELEINE FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION. eligible applicants are required to apply On-Line only. Application received through any other mode will not be accepted under any condition ii. Before registering/submitting applications on the website, the candidates should possess the following : (a) Valid E-Mail ID and Mobile No. The E-Mail ID and Mobile No. entered in the Online Application Form should remain valid/active until the recruitment process is completed. No change in the E-mail ID and Mobile No. will be allowed once submitted. The candidate himself/herself will be responsible for wrong or expired E-Mail & Mobile. No. (b) While applying for any post, the candidate should to take print out of filled in Application Form. (c) Rs.50/- ( Rupees fifty only) through crossed Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of THE GENERAL MANAGER, ORDNANCE FACTORY MEDAK payable at YEDDUMAILARAM should be enclosed with the application form. The candidate belong to SC/ST/PH/Ex-SERVICEMAN Ex-TA of OFMK/Yeddumailaram and Employment Exchange, Sangareddy, sponsored candidate need not submit the Demand Draft. (d) Should have latest self attested passport size colour photograph as well as his/her signature in digital format (jpg or jpeg file of less than 1 MB size each) for uploading the Application Form. (e) The On-line registration site will remain open as mentioned in the Important Dates schedule for different posts from 00.00 Hrs of the On-Line registration opening Date to 23.59 Hrs Midnight of the On-Line registration closing Date. (f) The candidate should cross check the information furnished in the Application form before finally submitting the same as no correction will be possible later. i.

(g) After applying On-line, the candidate is required to download the duly filled Application form registration number to be noted for future reference. (h) The candidate should positively dispatch the Bank Draft THE GENERAL MANAGER, ORDNANCE FACTORY MEDAK payable at YEDDUMAILARAM well in advance, so as to reach the addressee positively by the last date for receipt of Application Fee. The candidate should positively write his/her Name, Registration No. and Address on the backside of Bank Draft. (i) Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factory Medak may have to fill up the OFPM letter no. and Batch no./year of their passing apprenticeship in addition. (j) Employment Exchange sponsored candidates should enter Employment Card. No., OFPM letter NO. and Sl. No. mentioned in the letter in addition.

07. IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES/APPLICANTS :i) Before applying for any post, the candidates should read carefully all the instructions to satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post so as to avoid any disappointment at a later stage. ii) Candidates appearing for written test, physical test/trade test will travel on their own expenses. However, SC/ST candidates will be paid traveling allowance of Second Class (IInd Class) Railway/Bus Fare as per rules for onward and return journey performed by shortest route on production of Journey details as well as Railway Receipt/Bus Fare Tickets. The reimbursement of journey fare for first 30 kms of each side not payable. The candidate belong SC/ST category should produce tickets at the Examination Hall to claim re-imbursement of traveling fare, failing which traveling allowance will not be reimbursed. iii) Submission of any false/incorrect/dubious information in the applications form shall disqualify the candidate at any stage of selection process. iv) Government Servant must obtain NOC, pertaining to release in case of selection, from their employer before applying for any post. v) Dates of Examination will be displayed to the eligible candidates through www.ofmedak.gov.in website . vi) The applicants should keep visiting OFMK Website www.ofmedak.gov.in for important announcement/information throughout the selection process at its various stages including downloading of hallticket. vii) New entrants to Government Service, entering on or after 01.01.2004 will be governed by New Pension Scheme termed as Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and existing provisions of CCS (Pension Rules), 1972 will not be applicable. viii) After Online Registration candidates will have to forward the copy of his/her downloaded Application Form enclosing attested copies of requisite documents viz., Educational/Technical Qualification, Date of Birth Proof, Caste Certificate, Non-Creamy Layer certificate in case of OBC, Disability Certificate/Ex-servicemen Certificate/Discharge Certificate , two recent photographs and Demand Draft to THE GENERAL MANAGER, ORDNANCE FACTORY, YEDDUMAILARAM, MEDAK DIST, ANDHRA PRADESH-502205. IX) The General Manager, Ordnance Factory, Yeddumailaram shall not be responsible for any postal delay/failure/loss. x) Ex-Servicemen certificates & Discharge Certificate should have been issued by the Competent Authorities.. xi) Only selected candidates will be informed of their selection in due course and no other correspondence on the subject would be entertained.

xiii) The services after appointment are liable to be transferred to any other Ordnance Factories in India, subject to exigencies. 08. Cancellation of Candidature : The candidature of the candidate shall be summarily cancelled on following grounds. i) ii) iii) iv) v) vi) vii) viii) If, the age of the candidates is found to exceed the prescribed age limit on final scrutiny. If the candidate does not found to possess the essential qualification on final scrutiny. If the candidate fails to produce/submit all the essential documents as and when asked to do so. If the application fee is not received with in the prescribed time limit. In case the candidate is found using unfair means or adopting any malpractice at any stage of selection process. If photo (attested) is not pasted in application form and not accompanied by two more photographs. If date, Signature & thumb impression is not appended in application form. If the application does not accompany with the Postal Order of Rs.50/- except in case of SC, ST, PH/Ex-Servicemen, Ex-TA of OFMK, Yeddumailaram and Sangreddy employment exchange sponsored candidates. If discharge book/certificate in case of ex-SM is not enclosed and caste certificate of not < 3 years are not enclosed with application forms sent by post as on last date of application fee.
