Standard Competency Listening 1.To understand the meaning of the simple dialogue for interactive and non interactive transactional and interpersonal purposes, in formal and informal situation to
communicate with the environment and/or in an academic context. Basic Competence 1.1 To understand the explicit meaning in simple oral transactional dialogue containing : offering, accepting and refusing help ; asking, giving, and refusing things ; asking, accepting, and denying information; asking and giving opinions ; asking, accepting, and refusing suggestions/ invitation; expressing and asking (dis) agreement; admiring and responding compliment ; giving and responding congratulation; expressing feelings to do something.

Dialogue 1 Teacher : Bunga, could you help me call, Rinawan, please? Tell him to meet me in my office immediately. Its urgent. Bunga : yes, sir.
Dialogue 2 The Boy : Nora, let me help you fix the printer. Nora : Please dont bother. I can fix it my self.
Asking for help Can you help me? Do me a favor, please. Will you help me, please? I really need your help. Coul you ..... Offering help Let me help you. It seems you have a problem.
Giving help Sure. What can I do for you? Yes. What is it? Dont worry. Well help you? O.K Let me handle it. Refusing help Thank you for your offering, but Im O.K Please dont bother, I can do it myself.
Learning Steps : 1. Pre-activities ( 10 minutes ) a. Engagement Perception and motivation Asking some question relates to the expressions of offering,
accepting,refusing help and asking, giving, refusing things. Giving some examples and explaining how to express the expressions of offering, accepting,refusing help and asking, giving, refusing things.
Prerequisite Knowledge Delivering the learning objectives and its implementation to the real life.
2. While Activities ( 60 minutes ) a. Exploration Asking the students to find out other examples of the expressions of offering, accepting,refusing help and asking, giving, refusing things. Giving instructions to some students related to the expressions of offering, accepting,refusing help and asking, giving, refusing things. b. Elaboration Inviting the students to offer help/things to their friends. Asking the students to write down and say what they want their friends. Asking the students to complete some dialogues. Inviting the students to do the dialogue.
c. Confirmation Asking for some difficulties. Giving feedback, review and reword for the students work. Concluding the lesson.
3. Post Activities ( 10 ) Giving evaluation and assesment to the students work. Encouraging the students to be more active in the class. Giving information for the next material.
