COURSE SYNOPSIS: Kursus ini bertujuan untuk mendedahkan pelajar kepada dasar-dasar penddidikan khas di peringkat antarabangsa dan kebangsaan. Ia juga bertujuan untuk mendedahkan pelajar tentang prinsip, pendekatan pengurusan dan pengelolaan program pendidikan khas tempatan. Penekanan khusus kepada khidmat sokongan yang disediakan kepada kanakkanak berkeperluan khas juga dibincangkan. (This course aims to introduce students to the special education policies at international and national level. It also aims to expose students to the principles, approach and management of local special education programs. Particular emphasis on support services provided to children with special needs are also discussed.)

LEARNING OUTCOMES After attending this course, students will: 1. Know and understand the special education during the international and national. (C2, A1, CS3) 2. Able to debate the country's special education policy (C4, A3, CS3) 3. Knowing the type of special education programs provided by local agencies. (C2, A1, CS2) 4. Capable of carrying out the procedure of placement of children for special education in accordance with the relevant agencies. (C4, A4,EM3) 5.
