Electric overhead conductor with self-protection at the deposits of frost/ice for high voltage lines
- short presentation Functional and technical characteristics: Self-protection to the deposition of frost / ice of electrical aerial transport conductor of electric power lines, according to the idea proposed by us is done through: 1. Use of electromagnetic field energy dissipated by the conductor in operation (50 Hz; ~ 400 kV), transformed into heat at the surface of the electrical conductor, in order to maintain the temperature at a value above the temperature of formation of frost / ice. 2. The physical process pointed out above is based on a multifunctional material (alloy Mcx), which is a metal alloy drawn into wires of the same diameter as the top layer of the conductor. 3. The multifunctional alloy (Mcx), created by us for this purpose, change their properties as a function of the environment temperature; the process is reversible and without hysteresis, so that at positive temperature it doesnt have any heat and participate only as a current carrying conductor similar as the other wires of the conductor, at negative temperatures it captures a portion of electromagnetic radiant energy dissipated by the conductor and converts electrical energy into heat. Advantages in exploiting the EE-HVL transportation relays Ensures the self-protection at frost/ice deposits on the electricity aerial transport lines, without requiring additional energy consumption, without intervention of control (human or automatic) with no adverse ecological effects. As design and use properties it is identical with the standard conductors used today for the transportation of EE-HVL. It completely eliminates todays practices, cumbersome and uncertain, used in removing the frost/ice which is deposited on the aerial electricity transport conductors, in the areas with cold, severe climate. Ensures high energetic security, virtually eliminating the EE-HVL transportation relays damage caused by the supplementary mechanical burden due to deposition of frost / ice on these conductors. Climate comparative test with electrical conductor 17,7 mm / Mc1, at 320 A a.c., 50 Hz. S3 / T = - 14.8C, temperature of witness conductor, not loaded. S2 / T = - 4.2C, temperature of standard conductor load at 320A S1 / T = + 0.3C, temperature of self-protective conductor at the deposition of frost/ice, load at 320A. Technical and scientific innovative and novelty elements The multifunctional alloy cod Mcx newly created for this purpose, characterized through thermo sensitive magnetic predetermined and reversible properties, without hysterezis, and without transformations of the crystalline structure. Using the electromagnetic dissipated field by the operating transportation conductor EEHVL with the intrinsic property of self-protection at the frost / ice deposits and which retains all other identical structural and use characteristics with those of the standard conductors used today for the EE-HVL transportation. The constructive solution of the aerial electric conductor with the intrinsic properties of self protection to frost/ice deposition and which keep all other constructive and used characteristic properties identical to those used in standardized wires currently used for electrical energy transport. Additional caloric input in the 50Hz frequency overhead electric conductor with self-protection to the frost and ice, in not due to a Joules effect of direct current.
