What is art of writing?

Human beings communicate with words. When we see something we don't understand, we ask questions or read about it; we gather and process written and verbal information. That's how we form opinions, make decisions and take action-- with words. Art happens to be one of the things writer don't understand the most. It's also one of the things they want to understand the most. There is no one who doesn't like art, but sometime the legions need help understanding it. So critics have to help them and the easiest way to do that is with writing-- with words. If like most artists, writer does writer their own writing, but artists tend to write for art, assuming they can write at all. Artists understand their writing and select other writer understand it too-their friends, other artists, art insiders-- and that's about it. As a result, the fan base tends to stay pretty much the same. Professional art writing is different. It expands writers sphere of influence by reaching out to anyone who likes writers art enough to pause for a moment, stop what they're doing and take a look-- no matter who they are or how little know about what they're looking at. They're the ones writer want to convince, not the ones writer have convinced already. Professional art writing convinces in two ways. First, it explains writer art in terms everybody understands, not only art writer, but all writer, especially those who like art even though they may not know that much about it. Second and more importantly, it compels readers to want to know more-- and this is the part that counts. It's the part that encourages interactions, inquiries, dialogue, discussion, and ultimately even shows, sales, and whatever else writer dream of as an artist. Personalized, custom crafted, targeted art writing by a professional art writer who helps writing art reach more writer more effectively than any creative writing major's mumbo jumbo. So defining the meaning of art of good writing, F.L. Lucas (1894-1967) concluded after 40 years as a professor of English at Cambridge University that teaching people how to write well is impossible. "To write really well is a gift inborn; those who have it teach themselves." Still, he said, "one can sometimes teach them to write rather better." But to make writing a good piece one must follow some rules and those are: Brevity Clarity Communication Emphasis Honesty Passion and Control Reading Revision. Sophistication and Simplicity Sound and Rhythm

By proper use of this entire thing writing can reach the place of a piece of a good art and the success of art of writing is in that.

Discuss the comparison between art of writing of a good novel and a good drama.
To discuss about the difference between art of writing a good novel and a good drama we must know what is a good drama and a good novel.

Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance. The term comes from a Greek word "dran" meaning "action", which is derived from "to do" or "to act". The enactment of drama in theatre, performed by actors on a stage before an audience, presupposes collaborative modes of production and a collective form of reception. The structure of dramatic texts, unlike other forms of literature, is directly influenced by this collaborative production and collective reception. The early modern tragedy Hamlet (1601) by Shakespeare and the classical Athenian tragedy Oedipus the King (c. 429 BCE) by Sophocles are among the masterpieces of the art of drama. A modern example is Long Day's Journey into Night by Eugene ONeill (1956).

Novel is a story written in prose, and is usually split up into chapters. Just like dramas, novels tend to have plots, characters, and themes. However, where a drama is meant to be performed, a novel is meant to be read. A novel is usually longer, and has characters which might be, in most cases, quite well defined, not left to the imagination of the reader to determine. A novel is a book-length narrative. A play is a story meant to be acted out. It is written in dialogue and stage directions. A poem can vary widely in format and theme, but basically it's a shorter piece in which word choice and rhythm is just as important as the story or description.

Deference between the art of writing of a good novel and a good drama:
Drama is more similar to Novel than with Story. In a story, the writer describes the events; in Novel, he also describes details of environment and thinking/ feeling of various characters. In Drama, environment and thinking/ emotions of characters are not described but are presented. Environment is presented through stage design whereas thinking/ emotions of characters are presented through background music plus facial expressions etc. of actors (i.e. characters). A Story proceeds in the form of just description of interrelated course of events. Novel states the background of its story just like in short stories but rest of the proceedings is evolved out of description of environment and interactions between characters. It means that

author of a Novel doesnt tell all the story to readers because here readers have to understand the story proceedings out of the description of situations that are faced by characters as well as out of dialogues between those characters. In Drama, everything including background, emotions and dialogues between characters are not described but are presented. All the story proceedings shall come out of dialogues between characters or even out of self-talking of characters because this self-talking technique is often used in Dramas with the view to present the background of the story of Drama. Unlike a Novel, In Drama, even the relationship between characters is not described. Audience should understand the relationship between those characters just out of type of interaction between those characters or out of exchange of dialogues between them. A novel is usually longer, and has characters which might be, in most cases, quite well defined, not left to the imagination of the reader to determine. A play, can be long or short, depending on the story the author wants to tell, and how much time he/she needs to do the telling. I have seen some very powerful one act plays, and some that seem to go on and on, and don't seem to get to the point. There is, by virtue of the format, more dialogue in a play, because the characters need to talk to each other. In a novel, they talk, but the narrator explains the situation usually, and lays the foundation for the story. In a play, that is usually done by the characters. A novel is usually quite long and is fictitious prose, or not true. It usually portrays characters and a sequence of events. A play is a dramatic composition or piece, written for someone (or more than one) to act out. Novel is straight-forward (usually) and presented in a common structure and form (it can be described as "how we naturally speak"). Drama is a literary art transmitted through performance. It is meant to be seen & heard rather than read.
